We found it by simply googling "things to do in Waunakee". Great hiking trails, huge barn to explore, During warmer weather there are 5-6 programs you can be a part of such as prairie restoration and chicken wrangling. The website has a fun history lesson: http://www.schumacherfarmpark.org/about. It is a 40 acre farm filled with trails, historic buildings, and summer programming. Definitely worth checking out. We will be back - when it is warmer! :)

The park has several basketball courts, playground equipment and a large shelter house with restrooms that can be reserved for events. The restrooms aren't always open, of course, but the tables and grills are available for rent which is really useful. You can definitely spend a nice afternoon here having a picnic, playing in the grounds, and taking a walk around the conservancy. The views really are second to none. It has a very nice neighborhood feel, and the soccer pitches are put to good use throughout the summer. The only thing I would change about it would be a fence of some kind around some of the kids play areas... but that's getting really picky! It's free, clean, and always popular. It's a hit for us!
