I was laid of in late June & had insurance through that job through July. In July I had a change of insurance. The new insurance covered 12 visits. The owner's policy was to allow only 1/2 the visits DUE TO THE TYPE OF INSURANCE!! Wow! So much for serving patients. During my visits I was charged a co-pay, which in the beginning I understood. Because all of my surgeries, etc all of my deductibles weren't completely processed yet. When I got my EOB from the insurance I noticed no co-pay was due for any of my visits. I asked Creekside to check in to that for me at my last visit that I was allowed in July/August. Creekside never got back to me. I contacted the insurance in September & they called Creekside to let them know I was owed a refund. One month later in October, I went to Creekside to get the status & I was told my refund would be "released" even though they showed pending visits to be covered by insurance. I went back to Creekside today, it's now November, & asked for a status of my refund. I even asked Leslie to call their billing department which is in Arizona & she refused to call their billing department in Arizona to find out the status of my refund. All she would tell me was "These things take time to process." Ummm- my "co-pays" were DUE ON THE DAYS OF MY APPOINTMENTS. As for my recovery - I still have pain & discomfort.

I was getting desperate for help. These guys really listened to me, they knew I had a short amount of time to learn techniques to help myself as I was starting a new job and wouldn't have much time to come in. They taught me as many tools as they could in a few weeks. I worked with both Alex and Craig - both amazing. They REALLY know the science behind what's causing each problem. They can just touch an area and know it needs relaxing, etc. Or watch you move and see where you're having some problems. They informed me of why certain pain was occurring that seemed to make no sense to me, how it was related to other parts of my back. And then they'd relax me with an amazing way of pushing on areas of my neck and back. If there were any way to go in every morning and get that, I think I would lol! (This, coming from a person who absolutely will not go in and get a massage). They took time to teach me proper posture for working at a desk and stretches to do from my chair at work. With all this being said, keep in mind that I am a Google Dr, (much to the frustration of my primary physician, I'm sure) lol, and I spent HOURS trying to help myself with videos and article before I finally gave in and had to admit that my problems were too various for me to know if I was doing the right things. I was right on track with some things, but I really needed their help to get me an exercise routine and stretches to help the correct areas. I have greatly reduced the daily pain I was having, and I can now pin point what I'm doing wrong when I do start having pain. Wish I had just gone straight to the experts and hadn't wasted so many months trying to help myself. I never waited in the waiting room more than a minute or two before being called in. And huge BONUS is going first thing in the morning and enjoying the fabulous sunrise. Took me a couple visits to know what to expect or not to bring in a purse, etc. (they do have lockers), only because I'm sure at my age anyone would assume I've been thru something similar at some point or been a regular at a gym (I haven't lol). So, 5 stars. It was a worthwhile venture even though my insurance isn't going to cover much of it. Highly recommended.

He had 2 stays so far for a week to a week and half and they were very caring, paid attention to details and made our son feel very welcomed and at home. Every parent worries when they are unable to be there to advocate for their vulnerable adult child, but the entire team made us feel at ease knowing they will be attentive to our son and care great care of him. He really enjoyed his stay and was excited to go back after his first stay because it felt like a vacation for him. Thank you to all the staff in Cabin 203. Thank you to the Casemanager and all the different disciplines/ therapists involved along with the nursing staff. You all rock!

Despite sharing with Yakima Valley School the RCW relating to patient autonomy, they refused to let…read moremy daughter request only a female help her with bathing/toileting/dressing. She has PTSD relating to past trauma, and I shared that with them, and she requested only a female see her naked, but Yakima Valley School was going to force her to have a male care for her during times when her intimate areas were exposed. We opted to cancel her ten days of respite care, which I desperately needed for work training, because my daughter did not feel safe. Now my parents, who are currently battling my dad's aggressive cancer, are going to have to care for my quadriplegic daughter instead. Not only did Yakima Valley School attempt to put my daughter in a situation dangerous to her physical and mental heath, they broke state law by denying her the right to bodily autonomy. Do not send your child or vulnerable adult here! This place needs to be investigated!

If there was a 6th star this place would get one because I don't even like hot yoga and still come here. This is a shi-shi/bougie type studio and I'm not going to lie, I love that. But it's not over the top. instructors and customer service are great, they have showers, the other yogis are nice and chat you up (there's a good sense of community), they give out scented cold towels at the end of class for a literal cool down, they use infrared heat, and the floors are NOT HEATED. Even without heating the floor, the floor absorbs heat anyway. Heated floors are overkill (pun intended). There's another hot yoga studio in town that does that and I just die. But not in a good yoga type of dying (since you're "reborn" when you arise from savasana at the end of class). I didn't get a chance to try too many instructors because of my schedule, but a standout was Angela. I love that we Om and we take time to do pranayama (breathing regulation). She also offers classes that can accommodate beginners and advanced practices. (yay handstands!) And Karissa the owner is great too. She was able to resolve a problem, did not talk down to me, and went above and beyond to provided a fair compromise and solution. The one draw back is that their rental mats are too thin. Many places at this price point (and you have to pay to rent anyway -- $2 I think?) will use something like the Jade Yoga Harmony line. I didn't notice if this was available, but renting hand towels or full size yoga towel would be nice touch too. As a hot yoga tip, a hand towel is good for people who get slippery hands but not feet. If you get slickery with your feet, you would need a mat sized yoga towel with non-slip grips on the underside. Manduka makes a good one. A regular towel or even yoga marketed microfiber towels will bunch up if there's not grip on one side.

We decided instead to drive further south, park overnight at Walmart and spend the money on a yoga class and shower there instead. When we researched Yakima, Renu jumped out at us. We practice hot yoga in our home town and wanted to stretch our limbs after intense hiking in the Cascades. This place has a gorgeous, classy studio that accommodates maybe 15 people per class. Ali was our instructor and she has a wonderful relaxed vibe, even as she threw in a few extra core moves! If you live in Yakima and have never tried hot yoga before, I think you should try Renu and just go for it! In a heated room, the instructor leads you through 24 poses plus 2 breathing exercises that stretch and strengthen every part of your body, including your lungs. This particular studio is heated by infra red panels instead of a furnace and there is less humidity than I am used to. But I did get into some pretty deep stretches! The bergamot lime cold towel Ali handed out at the end is a rare treat. Bathrooms and showers are like a spa! Parking on site. Ali was helpful with our many questions. My husband and I bought single class passes for $17 plus tax. Renu will rent mats for $2 / complementary for the first class. They do have a range of yoga classes, not just hot 26. Renu is a female-owned business which employs a diverse staff. I wish them the best with their beautiful studio!

Medical needs and medication monitored closely and appointments for offsite needs managed by capable staff. I would recommend this facility. 2 dorms. 16 client spots. A+ as a step in the recovery direction.
