But the new site looks like it will be great when it's completed. The workshop was wonderfully organised and a really fun few hours (and I didn't break the sewing machine so we'll say I did well....). A great introduction - I'm really not a natural sewer but clear instructions and a well organised teaching set up meant that I felt I actually learnt something and did much better than I, or my Year 9 textiles teacher, would have expected. Lou was a brilliant teacher, and lovely and friendly through the afternoon. Overall, highly recommend The Fashion Box for their workshops.

Or possibly a pair of 1947 Levi vintage 501s. Well that is hopefully about to change. It is great to see that there are now a few brands springing up in the UK which are genuinely artisanal, using traditional techniques and fabrics, and putting sustainability high on the agenda. This is one that I hope has a long and healthy future. I have just bought my first pair, they look and feel great, I and hope that I will never have to pay import duties on my jeans again.
