If you are in Basildon the shop can be hard to find as they are currently building at the front of the shop (where there used to be a huge escalator) but it is worth looking for. I bought a pair of mary jane style shoes for £12 that I wore for work for a year and they lasted in great condition. In addition they also do good lingerie and a maternity range as well. I go here to get some basics such as combat trousers and t shirts. I have even bought a few jumpers for my trendy brothers as they are so cheap but good quality.

It covers three floors and it very spacious…read more The ground floor has womens clothing and accessories, the first floor has childrens wear and womens lingerie and the second floor has menswear, homewares and womens shoes. There is also a customer services department for refunds and queries. It is an extremely busy store but nevertheless there are ample checkouts and the staff deal very efficiently with the queues so the wait is never too long. There is an excellent range of products and the store seems to be kept reasonably tidy compared to the smaller branches.

I can't understand why Primark seems to attract the kind of customers (not all of them of course) that will just drop stuff on the floor and not pick it up leaving clothes everywhere for the poor staff to run around after. Good disabled access with disabled changing rooms and specialist low pay point and lifts as well as escalators. Cheap and cheerful and just outside next door there is a plaque to commemorate the fact that it was the birth place of H G Wells.

The clothes are very competitively priced and have a great selection from the latest fashion to the more traditional skirts and trouser suits. There is also a wide selection of footwear in this branch, along with a children's section, a menswear section and a lingerie and nightwear department. Towards the back of the store you can usually find some sale items at even cheaper prices. The only gripe I have is that we had to queue for several minutes at the checkout yesterday, and this has often been the case when I've shopped in here at the weekend. But it's worth it for the good value clothes on offer.

I am reviewing the ladies store but they have a mens store aswell. In the ladies they sell bags and shoes as well. A lot of the products they sell cannot be founf anywhere else in lakeside. The staff are really pleasant and always look really smart. I love the carrier bags because they are very posh, you have to buy something though unfrtnately. You can get most designer ranges in here and they do have sales although it still dont make things cheap.
