Carrys a good selection of clothes for all ranges men/women/kids. Store is always nicely lit and spaced out quite well. Prices are good and the staff are friendly. One of the better stores in the shoppping centre area where it is situated. read more

It has also lost it's 'home' section. The nearest home section is now in Torquay of all places and NOT the regions Capital! This is very poorly allocated, as Torquay doesn't have the 'footfall' of Exeter, and it's based in a very small and limited parking estate called 'The Willows'. Very inconvenient when this is over half an hour away, and then with 'seasonal' traffic, you are looking at more than double the time to get there. VERY off putting! Come on M&S! Pull your finger out and be more creative with what you have. I don't appreciate when I asked the question in store about homeware, to then be told "to look online"! I hardly call that 'customer service' in the first instance, and don't most people like to see what they buy before they buy it? rather than looking at a picture online??? It doesn't give the true indication of size, width, etc...
the peacocks branch in okehampton is by far the best i have been in, it is large and roomy and the…read moreclothes rails are far enough apart to be able to maneouvre around with a buggy. my only niggle though is that there are only 2 changing rooms, and they arent huge. there is plenty of choice in all the sections of clothing, mens, ladies and childrens. they also have a good range of shoes available. the prices are very competitive and the clothes really are quite fashionable. the kids stuff is fantastic value, as are the basics such as underwear and nightwear. there seem to be plenty of staff to help should you want them but they arent pushy. a great addition to okehampton.
