I am a physical therapist myself, and Peak Performance is my first choice for physical therapy services for my friends and family in the Fox Valley. Over the past 7 years, my family has been treated by Kari, Brad, Miles, Nikki, & Molly for a number of different issues, and they have all received excellent service. I also completed one of my clinical rotations under Nikki and learned a lot about the operations of the clinic. Peak's focus is on patient-centered & quality care, rather than raking in $. They don't double-book and patients receive 1-on-1 care with a licensed physical therapist. All of the clinicians are on top of their game in terms of evidence-based research and are well versed in multiple specialty areas. I would highly recommend Peak Performance to anyone seeking physical therapy services in the Fox Valley. read more

I completed my undergraduate education in California; therefore, I have observed and experienced multiple clinics across the country. I completed multiple observation and shadowing hours at Peak Performance for my application to physical therapy school, and I can confidently say that Peak Performance is by far the best clinic I have observed. Not only does every patient get a full appointment of one-on-one time with a physical therapist, but the therapists are also extremely talented, professional, caring, and intelligent. There are also multiple physical therapists on staff, which increases appointment availability. Unlike many other local clinics, many of the therapists here have specialties and certifications in things like dry needling, running analysis, and much more. Peak Performance also offers two injury prevention programs in the summer. I had the opportunity to help out with these programs during my shadowing experience and I can attest that they were truly individualized, adaptive for injuries, and successful in creating improvements in form. The practice model that Peak Performance utilizes truly provides optimal patient care quality and because there is only one clinic location, this mid-sized practice is the best of the best. I would 100% recommend this clinic to anybody seeking physical therapy services. read more

Established in 2001.

Peak Performance's doors opened in May of 2001. Ever since we've been dedicated to providing comprehensive physical therapy services to the Appleton, Green Bay and Oshkosh areas. From the beginning, our goal at Peak Performance has been to help physical therapy patients return to their normal lifestyles as quickly and safely as possible. Owner and founder, Kari Sturtevant, opened the practice to assist patients in setting and achieving their physical goals.

Meet the Business Owner: Kari S.

Kari Sturtevant, PT, OCS is a 1994 graduate of Marquette University's Program in Physical Therapy. Kari is one of 67 therapists in Wisconsin certified as a clinical specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Kari earned her doctorate in physical therapy with an emphasis in lower extremity mechanics from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professionals in 2010. Establishing close professional relationships is the hallmark of her practice. Physical assessments are thorough. Kari develops a treatment plan that addresses the true causes of the symptoms and closely monitors the effectiveness of the treatment sessions. Kari has participated in numerous running specific seminars across the US. She has been mentored by top PhD's in biomechanics who specialize in running gait. Her attention to detail and focus on the latest innovation and scientific research supports her reputation as one of the area's finest in her field

I've decided to seek another medical provider because I think this office is more interested in obtaining my private information than giving me medical care. I have had extreme pain from neck and shoulder muscle spasms for over seven years. These caused headaches, some lasting for months. Over the years I have seen my family doctor, two rounds of physical therapy (not Peak Performance), a pain doctor, a chiropractor and had Botox injections by a neurologist. My chiropractor recommended I try Peak Performance, especially their dry needle technique. Skeptical I checked out the website. Reading that multiple therapists had a doctorate in PT, which my other physical therapists did not have, I decided to try it. Seven months later, my headaches are gone and the spasms are just a little sore now. This will soon be gone also. Miles has given me my life back. Fantastic experience with Miles and Molly. I came in with significant pain in my right hip and leg from long distance running and with my distance and running performance struggling and my goals going backward. Through numerous excercises and analyzing and pinpointing pain to analyzing my running patterns and determining the cause, they not only got me back to normal, they made me better. Additionally, they identified precisely what I was doing wrong in my step patterns and how to correct it to prevent future injury. All along the way, they were professional, friendly and enjoyable to work with. read more

This spring was the second time I have used Peak Performance. Both times I have had Nikki and I cannot say enough good things about her. My surgeon did a good job but Nikki is who really made my recovery work both times. All the employees there are very nice, caring people.
