I wan to start out by saying the interaction with the people in the company were pleasant however,…read morethe outcome was not. I hired LCM Outdoor Living to perform what they quoted as a "Full Water Feature Clean Out" for my pondless waterfall at a cost of $1,608.92. Before scheduling the work, I explained that I had recently purchased a home with an existing water feature that needed a thorough spring cleaning and start-up. The written quote described the service as including inspection and cleaning of the equipment, power washing the feature, checking water quality, ensuring proper filtration, adding beneficial bacteria, and, most importantly, "one thorough cleaning, which includes the complete cleaning of the pond, removal of debris, and deep cleaning of all pond equipment." When the crew arrived, they drained the water, pressure washed the exposed surfaces, added beneficial bacteria, refilled the pond, and left. I was told the cloudy water would clear within a few days, which it did. Unfortunately, the water then turned a deep orange only days after the cleaning. When I contacted the company, I was initially told the discoloration might be caused by well water. I explained that my home is not on well water. Wanting to understand the issue myself, I researched common causes of orange pond water. One commonly cited cause was decomposing pine needles, pine cones, and organic debris. I went outside, moved several of the loose rocks that the water flows over, and found large amounts of pine needles, cones, and other debris trapped underneath them. This was surprising considering I had paid over $1,600 for what was described as a complete clean-out with debris removal. The same technician returned to inspect the pond. He first suggested the rocks themselves might be causing the discoloration and later suggested a small amount of rust on one of the filter brushes. To test that theory, I placed the brush in a clear pitcher of water. It did not discolor the water. When I showed him the debris hidden beneath the rocks, he told me their crews are instructed not to move rocks when cleaning because they could damage the liner if the rocks were glued down. That explanation didn't make sense in my situation because the crew had already moved rocks during the service to cover exposed liner. More importantly, the company's own contract specifically states that the service includes "complete cleaning of the pond" and "removal of debris." In my opinion, leaving significant amounts of debris beneath the rocks where the water flows does not meet that description. Afterward, I contacted the salesperson who prepared my estimate, hoping the company would either offer to correct the work or provide some type of adjustment given that the contracted work did not appear to match what was performed. Instead, I was told the technician had been correct and that they simply do not move rocks during cleanings. At that point, it became clear that my expectations and the company's definition of a "full clean-out" were very different. To me, water that turns orange within days because debris was left behind is not a successful deep cleaning, regardless of whether the water is technically clear. I understand that every company has its own methods, but I believe prospective customers should clearly ask what "complete cleaning" and "debris removal" actually include before agreeing to this service. Based on my experience, those terms did not match the work that was ultimately performed. I cannot recommend this service. I feel I paid a premium price for work that did not meet the written description, and I left feeling that I could have purchased the necessary equipment and achieved a more thorough result myself for much less.

We met Landon at the Denver homeshow in 2022. We were looking for ideas for a Kitchen remodel and…read morewere not looking for water feature but his artistry caught our eye and definitely peaked our interest. We spent about 45 minutes just getting to know him and discussed the different options that might be available. Prior to moving to Denver 18 years ago we had a Coy pond in the back yard and we definitely missed the sound of water and the sereneness of the water feature. This time we were considering something with less maintenance that we could enjoy but not have the regular maintenance. Landon worked with us on a pondless water feature that would give us what we were looking for. We had some unique circumstances that would affect the project so Landon came to the house to survey the surroundings and helped us work on the placement. He then came up with a digital rendition that we could use as a starting point. We next scheduled an early June start date as we wanted to be able to enjoy the project this year. As promised Landon was here on time and brought a great crew to work with. His team was very conscientious of our pets and made sure to secure the property each day. We live in an HOA community and his clean up each day was amazing, if not for his trucks in the day time you would have never known he was here in the evening. The project came in on budget and Landon went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the end result. The final project is amazing and we are enjoying it everyday. There are many Landscapers out their that say they can provide you with similar options but I challenge they can compare to LCM!!! I would post pictures but they do not do the project justice so here is a link to the video on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/landon.malave/videos/751723105974630

Anyway, we (my wife and I) found a landscaping company that treated us like appreciated customers, not like we owed them our business. If the same effort that went into the public retaliatory response to my first review had been directed toward quality customer engagement, they might have had a happy customer and a great review instead. Calling out red flags when we see them is important so we can all continue to rely on Yelp for honest and trustworthy reviews.

A Stellar Experience with Evergreen Ecoscape and Design, Colorado Springs…read more Hey, we all know that Life is complicated enough, so it's always nice to call on really hardworking professionals to lighten your burden and workload a bit. With that in mind, I was extremely impressed with Evergreen Ecoscape and Design. They helped us with a couple of landscape projects for our house in North Colorado Springs (Northgate area), and their services have been nothing short of exceptional. Our first project involved removing some sod in the front yard and replacing it with landscape rocks. This project not only enhanced the aesthetics of our yard but also promised to reduce water usage during the growing season and minimize the effort required for lawn maintenance (mowing, aeration). Evergreen, starting with Wesley, did a fantastic job of listening to our needs. Wesley came up with a proposal that met or exceeded all our expectations. They ordered the rock, installed the contractor-grade weed cloth, and hauled away the debris, making the entire process smooth and efficient. One thing to keep in mind is that many Colorado Springs landscape companies do not work in the winter. Evergreen is a notable exception. They worked around the weather and snow to ensure that the work was done professionally and not that busy winter time. Their commitment to their work is evident in their ability to adapt to challenging conditions without compromising quality. The second project involved building a dry creek bed, or arroyo, in the backyard. This project was designed to help with flood mitigation during summer storms. Tyler and Luke were phenomenal in executing this relatively complex project. As with most projects, we encountered some snags, but Tyler was able to adjust the plan to ensure that the water flowed correctly and made sure that the water gutters from the roofs had an unobstructed path to lower ground. Very important for the torrential down pours we sometime get in the Summer. I was very impressed with Evergreen's professionalism, communication, hard work, and ability to improvise to ensure that the project deliverables were met. They assured me that they would stay until the job was done right and correct, which they did. Evergreen Ecoscape and Design is an awesome company to work with, which explains their high customer satisfaction ratings. They excel in value, cost, efficiency, and professionalism. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking to enhance their outdoor space. A+++ in terms of value and service. Thank you, Evergreen Ecoscape and Design, for transforming our yard and for your commitment to excellence. We look forward to collaborating with you on future projects.
