Breakfast Burrito

While waiting for tires, there were a few options nearby to relax and have something to eat and we decided on Peaks & Valleys. It advertised itself as a restaurant but when we walked in, it was a bar. Not usually a fan of bar food, I thought it was going to be disappointing, but I was so wrong. The food was actually very good! Not bar food at all! The woman running the bar couldn't have been any nicer & welcoming to us. The food was delicious. It was a very quiet time of day (brunch) and the menu was as good as any restaurant with several breakfast and lunch options (breakfast served all day on weekends).

Fun little bar to stop for a drink. They play good music and have several games to keep the fun going. We didn't try the food, but it smelled amazing! Watch out for the lady with the paddle.

Menu, soon to be updated

My husband and I were wanting breakfast and/or brunch, and we decided to try Peaks & Valleys Restaurant. We were welcomed, served and treated kindly by Roger. We were glad we came out! There was only 1 man at the bar and a group of 4 at a table. The rest of the place was empty. From the outside, and lack of cars, made us Joe they were open--because we were hungry! We sat at a tall table in the back. It was windy, and the plastic window/walls were creaking a bit. However, the views were pretty and I can imagine how nice it would be there on a warm night. The music pipped through was great, and we kept capturing the songs, so we could listen to them again later. I ordered a Bloody Mary w/Tito's vodka (yeah, it was there), and it was thought that we both ordered them. It was a mistake, and I offered to drink the second one...but Roger said to not worry, and he was going to dump it. Oh no! That's, in my world, is alcohol abuse! Ha! Anyway, my husband ordered his Mimosa and was happy. For food, I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, and my husband ordered a Denver Omelette. Both plates were fresh, hearty, and delicious! Oh, and quite affordable! Per Roger, the menu was to be updated soon, which is why it had blackouts on it. I'm guessing more people come there for drinks, with friends, to shoot pool, enjoy the ambiance and enjoy the views. I'm just happy we have a new place to go for a yummy meal! We will be back! Thank you for welcoming and feeding us!

Excellent food!

So disappointing to see the place that looks like it has never been cleaned. Trash all over the floor, tables fallen no apart and dirty.

Maddie was wonderful, I told me my allergy and she offered great choices for drinks and food. Never did we have to wait for a drink.

We really enjoy the Stillery for its menu. They have a ton of options ranging from burgers to pizza…read moreto all types of bar food. This location in Chandler is huge with both inside and outside seating for a very comfortable experience. They also feature live music with local And some traveling artists. You won't find anyone famous here but solid musicians none the less. The only knock is we have found the service to be consistently slow. Just a little off as if the servers have too Many tables. We do still recommend though - an all around solid spot.

To give credit where it's due, the ambience of the restaurant was great. The live music was enjoyable and the dancing created a fun atmosphere. The women's restroom was also impressive -- clean, well stocked, and the mirror with the neon sign made for a great photo moment. Unfortunately, the service and food did not live up to the setting. Our waitress appeared overwhelmed and, at times, came across as outright rude. I understand the pressures of working in a busy restaurant, but hospitality is still the foundation of the service industry. I actually found myself going out of my way to "kill her with kindness" just to avoid receiving the same snarky tone she used with some of my friends. It worked -- she was civil with me -- but it shouldn't take that level of effort from guests. The food was where things really fell apart. The buffet setup was poorly executed. The foil buffet pans repeatedly slipped into the chafing water, which ended up soaking the food. Any experienced food service professional knows the proper way to handle this: bring the replacement pan first and swap them out simultaneously. Instead, the staff removed the empty pans and walked back to the kitchen, leaving empty slots in the buffet while guests waited. As a result, several dishes were compromised. The mac and cheese was completely runny, clearly diluted from water getting into the pan. This happened to multiple items. The fried pickles were also a miss -- not crispy, extremely salty and sour, and tasted like low-quality hamburger dill pickle chips that had been breaded and fried. No one at our table enjoyed them and several people commented that they were far too tangy. There also seemed to be serious communication issues between the kitchen and the floor staff. Buffet items were frequently empty and slow to be replaced. The "salad," if you could call it that, was essentially a bowl of lettuce with no tomatoes, cucumbers, or vegetables -- just plain greens. Toward the end of service, the restaurant even ran out of dinner plates, leaving remaining guests to use small salad plates. The only items I somewhat enjoyed were the margarita pizza flatbread and the bacon jalapeño wontons, which were decent but nothing memorable. Beyond that, my meal consisted mostly of a bowl of very uninspired lettuce. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, it genuinely pains me to leave such a critical review. I don't write this out of spite, but out of hope that management sees it as an opportunity to evaluate what's happening on the floor and in the kitchen. There is clearly potential here given the atmosphere and entertainment. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

We shared the Bang Bang Shrimp, a favorite of ours. The flavor was great as always, although this batch seemed to have a little more batter than usual. Not a big issue, just something we noticed. We ordered the lobster sliders to split and they were great. The order comes with three sliders, and each one was generously filled with chunks of lobster. I also loved the addition of diced tomato and avocado, which added texture. The sliders were a good size. We added a side of truffle fries, which unfortunately fell flat. They looked like regular fries and, while they did have some truffle flavor, they were missing the Parmesan cheese and seasoning that typically make truffle fries stand out. They were okay, but a bit disappointing. We had a nice lunch. The only downside was the price. For one appetizer, one lunch entrée, fries, and one cocktail the total came to over $75, which felt a little steep for lunch. That aside we loved the sliders and would order them again and we always order the Bang Bang Shrimp when we're there.

I was happy to see they had a limited cocktail menu. Anything beyond a Bloody or a Mimosa is unnecessary at a bfast/lunch place, but word is they're getting a new full bar in an upcoming renovation. So if you like an Old Fashioned with your pancakes, you're in luck! We had a bunch of stuff, highlighters the million $ bacon. Lowlight was the biscuit bites. Nice flavor but super dry. The menu pic is better than the actual. Good place though. Overall the food, service and atmosphere will get me back there.

I hadn't had the best of experiences at other first watch locations but this one was surprisingly better. Our server took initiative to seat us himself and take our order quickly. I asked questions about the green juice and he brought me a sample to try it before committing to a whole glass. It was too sweet for me so he suggested adding beet juice on top of orange juice for a less sweet juice option. I really appreciated the creativity and the drink was really pretty! I tried the avocado toast and the bread was thick but not as crispy crust or hearty as I was hoping for. It was a generous portion of avocado compared to what you would get at other restaurants for a comparable or likely higher price.
