Mr. DeKruyff had 2 client interviews the same day at the immigration office. Instead of him asking USCIS to schedule the appointments at seperate times, he didn't. Causing my brother and his wife to go into the interview alone without knowing what would happen. Immediately upon entering, my brother was arrested by ICE not knowing what was going on. Mr. DeKruyff was paid thousands of dollars for his "service". What kind of attorny leaves their client alone at the MOST important moment? Also, upon looking at all the paperwork, I'm no immigration lawyer, but just a little research showed me he did not do his homework with my brothers case. There were a couple different ways this could have gone and Mr. DeKruyff gave my brother hope and sent him in the worst direction possible. Now he is possibly being deported and is stuck in a detention center. Keep in mind after the interview, he let my sister in law know "we'll hear back in 3 months, have a nice day." I explained the situation about my father's tragic passing and to see if I could qualify to the advance parole. The gentleman said the office had helped him with an advance parole to see his deceased grandmothers tomb and said this should be no problem. I paid in full on 5-31-24 $2,500 and some change. I went on to the next step in talking to the lawyer who said my father's tragic passing a few days back would not be enough. I needed more of a reason to ask for advance parole. Without getting no where I asked for a refund on my case on 6-27-24 as it got no where. They stated the office had earned $1,750 for their work - this included a welcome email, phone call, and for keeping the case open. Shocked in this amount I was persuaded to keep the case in a "frozen" state and reopen when needed. Now we are here February 2025 and my case has gotten no where. I asked to close my case and a refund. Hoping to at least cover my next DACA application....Fernando Juarez emailed me back today saying I am entitled to $0 return since the case had remained in their office. I am shocked, angered, and embarrassed there are immigration offices that are supposed to help our people end up taking advantage. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this office unless you 100000000% know they can help and have spoke to an attorney not someone in their office. The lawyer I spoke to suggested I open a new line of credit to cover my living expenses so that I could save for the $2750 fee. I was able to provide payment in December 2023. I started working on the workbook needed for the case wherein it spoke about opening credit and quicky closing before submitting a bankruptcy. Since I had just done that to pay for their fees, I sat on submitting any paperwork for the next six months. Life being what it is, I got busy and the submission of information needed went to the back burner. I received a notice in October 2023 that they had closed my account and send me a check of approximately $300+! I had not submitted anything, they had not sent one e-mail, no phone calls, and yet they burned through $2400.00!!!! I had no idea there was a specific time limit on this, had I known I would have submitted timely. I felt that they really took advantage of the situation and took my hard earned money and left me in the same position I was when I came to them. By the time they let me know they were closing my case there wasn't even enough money left to cover their services.
