So I had the opportunity to visit here at night. Sat at the outside bar and the service was far superior with the same bartender as last time. Maybe he was having an off day, because last time he was lethargic. They have some great craft beer here including some local craft. This experience was way better than the last. I got here at like 10 pm on Friday night and by like 10:30 they packed up the menus, so I think the kitchen was closing. I didn't really ask. The one thing I noticed was there were a lot of service people here and bartenders from other venues. It was cool to talk with them and pick their brains on what to do in Naples. This was our second visit in the last month. This place has returned to its original quality. We had 12 oysters and wings. The wings were perfect ... really really good! The oysters were pretty good and a good price for 12 fresh oysters ( wish it had more of the brine in the oyster shell but they rinsed it out of every oyster). Good service and clean... One small COVID update, we're vaccinated and don't really care too much, but no one is wearing a mask here (staff or patrons). We were in the mood for oysters around nine o'clock and this place was close to where we were staying. Typical bar scene and menu. We ordered two dozen oysters, half local half blue points. They were pretty plain. One of them was bad. Unfortunately my husband had already swallowed it before he realized, but he looked at me and said oh no. You could even smell it on the shell... very nasty and bold smelling compared to the other ones. I guess that is a risk you take with ordering raw fish, however we have never experienced this at the countless places we've been to get oysters. Perhaps lesson learned about ordering oysters at a sports bar looking place. Service was nice, but felt bad because she was also bartending. A lot of running around to do. read more

Went on a whim with my girlfriend to get dinner this evening & then catch a sunset ! Found this place on yelp ! Place is huge ! Food was really good ! When we got there we walked all the way around to a high top by the bar " we like to watch/see everything" we arrived at "shift change" so there were multiple servers ( which I don't mind because I work somewhere where everyone helps each other with their tables ) my friends got the calamari, Larry's melt & boneless wings. I didnt even care that all ceiling fans had enough dust on them to choke a horse, but watching one costumer flip his lid because he had been waiting an hour for his food did it for us. My husband and i are new to florida, we moved from arizona and decided to stop here a few times. Every time before today has been wonderful. Savannah always serves us and has such an amazing attitude. She was a bit backed up today and had no support. We ordered food that took over 25+ min to get to us. She asked if the manager ( Alex Fraga) was going to clock in and help, he stated "im already clocked in." As he took a swig of his beer. This spot was located right by the condo we rented why visiting Naples. This is like a neighborhood bar. They have tons of specials and summer drink specials. Too bad we didn't come in during happy hour, it's 2 for 1 drinks! We ordered the oyster sampler believe it or not my 8 year old loves them! It's a fight when we order a dozen. Our waitress suggested a pitcher of beer vs by the glass. My son wanted shrimp so we ordered him a regular entree instead of off the kids menu. My hubby ordered the grouper sandwich and I ordered the shrimp Po boy. The shrimp was spicy and that tangy horseradish mayo put the sandwich over the top! I am a regular here and the service that I received is impeccable by the daytime staff consisting of Ashleigh and Brittany. These two women are wonderful, they make sure that their customers are taken care of. When the bar is busy they make sure that they let their customers know that they will be right with them. I had the tender basket and it was supposed to include slaw and didn't. My spouse had the grouper tacos which was supposed to come with rice and beans and they brought fries. The tacos were supposed to have mango pineapple salsa on top and it was not included. My spouse was drinking vodka club soda and the bartender brought him a vodka cranberry when he asked for a refill. The music was bad techno. Overall this place was just a no. This is my second review about Pelican Larry's and it's just as good. My husband and I come to Naples a few times a year and we go to Pelican Larry's. They offer good service and the food is good. My first review was about Michelle the bartender and Chris the manager. Everything was amazing every time we would go there. This time Michael and Eric were working and they did a great job. When our flight home was cancelled, we came back to our condo and went to Pelican Larry's to get some food. Eric and Michael were friendly and polite. Both of them went that extra mile to make sure everyone had what they needed. Both of them interacted with all of the customers as well as my husband and I. When we would walk in and sit down at the bar. Michael and Eric made the effort to remember which drinks we were having. Both Eric and Michael made all of us feel comfortable that everyone there had a great experience. Pelican Larry's has most definitely come a long way from when first started going there. Chris the manager has truly turned the Davis Blvd store around. Michelle was amazing and it shows in her professionalism. It is a sticky floor and sticky bar restaurant with a waitstaff that would rather stand around talking than wait on customers. Add to that, two stories of credit card misuse that had people saying to only use cash there. I can honestly say I'm disappointed. I hadn't gone there in a while and ordered takeout last November.
