He took the time to walk me through the process of switching to State Farm and was a huge help when we had to file a claim after a hailstorm in 2023 damaged our home and vehicles. His support during that time was greatly appreciated. However, despite being loyal customers and paying our premiums on time, I was just informed that our homeowners policy will not be renewed come May--solely because of that claim from nearly two years ago. It's frustrating and disappointing to be dropped over something completely out of our control, especially when we chose State Farm for the peace of mind that they would be there when we needed them. While they did help us through the claim process, it's clear that one claim is enough for them to decide we're no longer worth insuring. I want others to be aware that while the customer service has been great, it doesn't seem to matter in the long run if they decide you're too much of a risk. If you're considering State Farm, be cautious--because when you actually need them, they might just drop you later.
