He brought in a window sample as part of his presentation to show the quality of the frame and glass of the windows. It wasn't a hard decision to make when I compared the other options I've seen during that time. I also looked up the reviews/ratings for the windows/door brand and the company. Richard also provided references of satisfied customers in my area, which I found it very helpful and transparent. The window depot has great Google reviews, as a Yelpie, I wanted to spread the word and be their first review on Yelp because I highly recommend them! They offered financing options which was a plus to proceed with the home improvement project. The cost was also reasonable. They replaced /installed my front windows and patio door. I was highly impressed with how efficient and phenomenally professional the installation was. Dave also came to do an inspection as the final step of the installation process. He brought me this thank you gift box with some goodies inside. Dave also assisted with registering my windows/ patio door for the warranty. The communication was excellent with Richard from day one, he was very responsive with phone calls /text messages/ emails. I'm more than pleased with the service, final product and strongly believe I made the right decision and will definitely consider them in the future for additional window replacements or door installation. Very personable and answered any questions I had at the initial contact and subsequent emails, and gave contact numbers and emails for the install manager, project coordinator and the owner. No pressure sales. Estimate was based on the pictures I sent and did not change the dollar amount , even if they find damage that needed to be repaired before installation. No down payment is needed. Full payment expected after installation and final approval of work. Sandy, project coordinator, sent emails when the windows were ordered and then again to let me know, due to supply chain issues, the time estimate was a month later than in the proposal. (They ended up coming in about 1 week after the original date and I was not ready, but they scheduled installation for when I was ready). The installation team was polite, cleaned as they went gave a tutorial on how to use the windows and what to expect when they were finished. The windows have been wonderful! I have several days of having all the windows open and it only took 5 minutes! The old windows took forever and hurt my fingers putting up the storm windows!

During installation I found that the screens had holes in two of them and there was a large deep scratch on one of the windows When I called they sent someone out immediately to correct the issue. I get a lifetime transferable warranty and now that it's winter, I can tell they are much less drafty. I'm very happy that I can open my windows now and windex both outside and inside. I called a couple companies after reviewing on Yelp and this was one of them. They are locally owned by a guy named Jay. They are responsive and professional. Jay is the new owner of this company so feedback that goes back before this year on follow up is more related to guy that retired. The work quality of this company was never in question and after I accepted my quote, found out they installed the doors on my buddy's new house that I love. One of my openers was flat out broken and they actually sent an installer out and put up one of my new openers three weeks before my doors arrived so that I could use the garage door at no extra charge and that's a beautiful service. Cortez installed - was a one man machine. Other company said they would need 3 installers. That's probably why their quote was so high. I had a really good experience with this company, my results speak for themselves, and I'm very pleased with all the trim work for the cleanup and how everything's functioning and sealed. This is only the second time in my life. I bought a new garage door. Last time was more than 20 years ago, but this process was seamless. Hopefully I will not need a new opener or garage door for a while but any service calls I would want to make would definitely be to this company. Thumbs up.
