I've been here for 45 minutes and my truck has barely gone through the wash and still is behind 4 other cars to get dried and wiped down on the inside. I purchased the medium service cleaning of inside and outside of car with wheel dressing. Asked if they would also vacuum my trunk and they said yes. When I grabbed my Civic when ready, trunk not vacuumed at all, debris on rear seat, Weather tech mattes vacuumed but none of the surrounding carpet. Quite the waste of money. I could have gone to self service car wash a mile away and save $10 and done a better job in less time. Never again to Penguin. read more

Keep in mind this is a car wash place. Not a DETAIL. Don't expect quality work from these guys. $50 dollar for a wash and cleaning inside but seems like there's no effort while cleaning. Lots of spots missed all around my truck, and for some weird reason they always leave my wipers on so as soon as I turn my truck on boom! the windshield is already ruined. I just got home from taking my car to the penguin car wash here in Hollister for one it took about 40 minutes to get done which I'm okay with cuz I figured they were doing a good job on it but when I got it back home and really looked at it they're worked there is extremely sloppy you can tell they don't put any effort into what they do and I would say that the employee who worked on my car was just overall very lazy about his job I picked the option that said interior vacuuming and there is just crumbs pet hair stuff everywhere I would expect that when I'm paying 30 plus dollars to get my car washed I know it's not going to be perfect but at least perform the service that you say you will I would never take take any of my vehicles back to this place I don't recommend you do it either. Sometimes I wish it was possible to not give a business ANY stars. Zero stars for this place would still be too generous. Went in to get my new car washed today only because I did not have the time to do it myself as I normally do. But that proved to be a huge mistake. First and foremost, the interior of my vehicle was soaked. I know that my windows were rolled up when I brought it to the back and dropped it off with my keys, however somehow between then and them bringing it to the front, the windows rolled down and chaos ensued. Secondly, the manager, Tomás, was a real piece of work. When we questioned him about what happened, he not only vehemently denied any responsibility, but he was also inexcusably rude to my mother. He made rude comments to her and refused to help find a solution to the problem at hand. The diamond in the rough however was Ramòn. He saw the awful way we were being treated and freely offered to help. He stayed with us until we were (somewhat) satisfied with the overall outcome and left. I will NEVER bring my car or any other family member's vehicle here, ever again. This business does not have your best interest in mind and the manager himself doesn't seem to care about losing loyal customers along the way. I suggest you save yourself the money and the headache and find somewhere else to go or just stay home and do it yourself. My car is usually full of 1 - 5 kids at any given time and so I don't expect a drive thru car wash to eliminate the stains and such but I do expect a car that's fully vacuumed and wiped down. Its been three hours and he wants me to wait again (after returning my car twice) so they can wash it again and refuses to give me a refund, muchless a free car wash. And tells me I'm crazy that my car is clean... does this look clean? Or like cleaning was even attempted??? Nevermind the rest of the car not being vacuumed at all!!! I have been a regular customer for years, sometimes happy, other times not. I pulled in this afternoon, noticing there was no line, and pulled up to where the vacuum would line up with my front door, as there was no one there to tell me otherwise. Then a man who I don't normally see on the weekends, tells me to pull up, rudely. I wanted to complain to the counter person, but she had gone to pick up lunch next door(no worries, car wasn't done), but I felt it may have been her husband. Long story short, I get home tonight and find that I have been charged 33.95 for an Ultra! My bad for signing off without looking for what used to be 21.95, I believe. I have a Ford Edge, not a large SUV. We don't yet have many choices in Hollister, although I heard today competition is coming. I will be there tomorrow to ask for a refund. Took my vehicle today. Got the delux wash, cup holders weren't cleaned out nor was parts of the dash that dust marks on them. Seats got left with some sort of white dust residue which I have no clue what it even was. It's a brand new vehicle off the lot that I've only had a couple weeks so the residue on the back seats was definitely nothing I caused. For 35.99 I'd expect everything to be wiped down. For what I got I should of just got the basic wash. Would not recommend! read more

I chose the most expensive car wash due to how dirty my car was. They did a mediocre job. I asked them to pay special attention to my hub caps and under my mats and my mats. My mats weren't wiped down and there is still a lot that could have been vacuumed. I wish we had more options. I'll try the other place next time. read more

Seriously disappointed with the service today, no attention to detail. The outside was clean, but when I got in, it looked like they had vacuumed the inside (which was done well), and that was about it. There was dust and crumbs still on the center console and gear shift area, dust on dash and radio area (looked like they attempted to clean that, but missed the mark), and as I started to drive away, noticed the passenger side mirror was still folded in and full of water spots. So I stopped, and had to ask the guy three separate times to borrow one of their towels to finish cleaning what they apparently could not. Even after that, as I drove away, there were streaks on the windshield and crumbs in the cup holder. My car wasn't really that dirty to begin with. Some crumbs, some dust. It had probably been about a month since my last wash, but was not in that bad of condition. And maybe I shouldn't eat in my car. That would eliminate the crumb problem. Maybe I should have it cleaned a little more often. That might keep the dust down. But if I'm going to pay to have my car cleaned, I expect that it should be clean when I get in. Especially when there were FOUR guys working on the finishing details. All in all, not sure if I'll bring it back here if this is the quality I can expect. read more

I sat in line on a weekday at 11:15 for 15 minutes, purchased the$23.95 (which is $5 more than I usually pay at my regular car wash that is now under new ownership and closed for remodel). After an hour later ( I truly couldn't believe it had taken that long), I expected to have my car looking almost new. NOT!!! There were dirt spots still on my car, bug guts on the front window, as well as lots of streaks, and half of the interior not dusted. How can you expect to pull it out in the sun after being washed, let it sit for a while, and not expect to have water spots? Bad, just really bad!!! read more

I have now given this place my third and final attempt. Every single time I come here, I am far from impressed with the cleaners. I am only giving two stars because the staff behind the register and checking you in are very polite and helpful. Attention to detail is not a common practice. Floor mats are never removed and cleaned and door jams are always dirty. When you point this out, certain people seem to be upset or annoyed that you ask for a second go over. The last two times I've been here I've paid for ultra which includes the air freshener. Unless you ask for the air freshener they won't give it to you. All around a bad experience. First, when I pulled in, they have a board with all of the services and different prices. We picked the ultra for $23.95 in the large price, as soon as I got out of my car the guy(the owner) had already had my tag printed out for the most expensive car wash. I asked why and he said because I only had two options, hand wash (which he didn't recommend) or the 31.95 one which was the most expensive because of how big my car is, it's a Nissan Armada. I wanted it anyway because my car is an SUV and dirty from all the rain. The car still had lots of dirty spots you can see they missed and the guy left his dirty rag in my trunk on my clothes! My car got washed but I had to come home and get the dirty spots they missed which is the whole reason you take the car to a car wash and the people that work there have no customer service skills.... My car was next in line when I saw one of the workers working on the car behind it. As I approached I saw him cleaning the wheels of the car behind. "Excuse me is there anyone working on this car?" (pointing to mine) "Yes" " I don't see anyone" "Well there is only two of us" (???) "Why are you working on this car and not mine" "I wasnt." This was followed by a back and forth where he continued to bold face lie to me about what he was doing. They finshed my car and walked away without any aknowledgment.
