He plays club hockey which is a lot of fun, and joined a fraternity -- the frats are fun and low key, not the toxic male environment as it can be at some schools. The campus is beautiful. Equally as nice as most small liberal arts colleges. The dorms are no worse than at most schools. I think most important of all, it's really a positive and supportive environment, academically intense but not competitive in an unhealthy way. If you're considering schools like Bucknell or Lehigh or Lafayette, DEFINITELY consider F&M. (And they gave us some generous financial merit aid compared to Bucknell!)

LBC has a focus on students experiencing whatever they think students need to experience while at the school. The leadership of the school and those responsible for taking care of students do not have any interest in helping you accomplish the things the Lord has sent you to do. If you are going to college to follow through, and prepare for the journey God has for you, you're going to hate it here. While the academics are amazing (especially in the bible and ministry departments), the overall student culture and attitudes displayed by the leadership of staff and students is fake, unprofessional, and unbiblical. It was once said that the good Christian shoemaker makes good shoes not put little crosses on the shoes. LBC only knows how to put little crosses on a very poor product. It is an artificial environment that will use the gospel and biblical values of grace and love as an excuse to not do they're jobs.

The school is money hungry. They add an exam average of 77% to your semester so even though you may…read morepass the class with a 90%, if your exam average is not 77% or higher than you fail and have to repeat the entire course and clinical. They implemented the exam average to increase their nclex pass rate but half the students fail out and do not get to take the exam. Also, I doubt any of the current nurses had exam pass rates when they were in class. You can study for hours and still fail and there is no empathy from some professors, and some professors are so nice and try everything they can to help you! They will accept anyone who apples but it is extremely difficult to pass. Mentally exhausting. Also if you fail any class twice, they kick you out of the program, which is insane because if you're paying for it, then you should be allowed to retake it until you understand it. The school is selfish. The upper heads of the school are not approachable and are very dismissive. Save your mental health and do not do it.

When I attended the school it was known for "Education, Music & Health & Safety" majors primarily. Now, I see there are students who are there for many other majors and Millersville U. has been receiving good feedback in the academic world for having good programs. I feel for the education, the costs are still at a premium value. Millersville has done average in the sports department comparatively to other state schools - but it was always a fun outing to watch the games. I am glad I chose Millersville U. and when I come back to visit - it is wonderful to see how much it has grown and I can enjoy all that it has to offer upcoming students.

Rich roommate whose daddy was paying-NONE of the rules or policies applied to her. NONE. My daughter was told by the DA to "suck it up". The 3 times I emailed the president, he NEVER responded. Not even an auto reply. I wish I could put everything down here to tell you how God-awful our experience was with them, but, not enough space. So don't feel obligated to sign any paperwork saying you acknowledge the rules & policies. The Roommate Agreement is also crap. So go ahead and light up vapes & joints, have alcohol in your room, blast your tv & music, have guests overnight 3-4 nights, every week, party, skip class, use your roommates stuff, don't forget to damage your roommate's stuff and don't own up to it or replace it, and your MU experience should be a pretty good one, Do not recommend this place if you are intelligent, respectful, mature, & want to get an education. Oh-a heads up: if you un-enroll or transfer to another university, GET AS MUCH AS YOU CAN OUT OF YOUR DORM FIRST. They lock you out of your dorm immediately as soon as you un-enroll, and you can only get back in during certain days/time frames, that are very short. They do not inform you of this. It's happened to other people we know, too.
