No wait. Food was great. Our server, Angel, lived up to her name. She did the perfect amount of checking on us.

I think we all left this place satisfied. We got there at 10am on a Saturday morning and we waited 45 minutes. Pancakes and French toast were awesome. If you check in on Yelp, you get a free order of Puffs, so we did that and they were delicious. Biscuits and gravy: I enjoyed the flavor of the gravy but the biscuits were too airy for my taste. I prefer a more dense biscuit. The hubs enjoyed his chicken in waffles. The chicken is cooked inside the waffle. His only complaint was that there definitely wasn't enough chicken inside that waffle! But overall we had a good experience and good service. And I love that they serve more than one type of syrup!!! The boysenberry was so dang good! read more

The service was pretty quick and friendly but we were not impressed with the famous pancakes. They were fine...but nothing special at all. At my table we had scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, biscuits, and pancakes. Everything was good, but nothing was great. read more

Family friendly. The food is delicious, the coffee is the best in the area, and the pancakes are indeed heavenly! We arrived and was seated immediately, our waitress was friendly, quick with coming back to take our orders and made us feel welcomed. I ordered the heavenly pancakes, side of fruit and one egg. The pancakes really are fluffy, good flavor and oh my the butter was actually soft and for once I could spread it on my pancakes! I loved it!! The side of fruit was large but good. Went back for breakfast on a snowy Sunday. Was only a 5 minute wait but more people were coming in as we ate breakfast. Definitely becoming a popular spot! Service was super fast and our meals came out correctly and promptly. Our garden veggie omelette and smothered breakfast burrito were Fanta. Really enjoyed the pork chili verde over the top of the burrito- tasted great! Our server also checked in with us multiple times to alert sure we had what we needed. Really appreciated the attention. I took my mother to lunch for her 29th birthday (I may be off by 50 years but who is counting?). We had never been to Penny Ann's Cafe (PAC) and only went there because we wanted to try out the new restaurant that has taken the place of Cafe' Rio in that mall. That is the only reason that we went. I had not heard anything about PAC but just wanted to try something new and I am so pleased that we did! It is an amazing place to go. My mother and I both had the same dish and it was some kind of skillet that Macey our waitress recommended. It is truly amazing. Macey is the very best! She is incredible! Penny Ann's Café - Bountiful Location I recently visited Penny Ann's Café for the first time, and unfortunately, it'll also be my last. While the service from our waiter Hector was excellent, the overall experience didn't live up to the hype--or the price. Cost vs. Value: Breakfast for four totaled $78, which felt steep for a morning meal--especially for a family just looking to enjoy a casual bite and considering the quality. The portions were large, but the flavors didn't justify the cost. Food Quality: The "Heavenly Hot Cakes®" tasted more like Bisquick--dense and heavy, not light and airy as advertised. My eggs were undercooked, with runny whites that made me nervous (thankfully, no sickness) The home-fried potatoes dominated the plate but were bland and dry--no seasoning, no flair. Nothing I would write home about. Drinks had a strange aftertaste that all of us noticed. Hector was attentive and friendly, but we waited 15 minutes after finishing our meal just to get the bill. That lag really soured the end of the meal even more, (especially when we saw the amount.) Menu Limitations: There was no senior menu or kids menu, which was disappointing. Smaller portions would've been appreciated, especially given the price. Ambiance: The interior was surprisingly dark--less inviting than a mall food court. Not the cozy café vibe I expected. Bottom Line: Penny Ann's Café is pricey, portion-heavy, and underwhelming in flavor. Bountiful deserves a more affordable breakfast option with better execution. Sadly, this isn't it. read more

I very much appreciate having another breakfast focused option in the bountiful area. I have visited this location several times because I am addicted to breakfast foods and they are open on Sunday, which is fantastic. Their service is really good and very friendly. They are always very busy, but if you ask to sit at the counter, you can usually get right in. Obviously that only works if you have a very small group. The problem is the food is just OK. They make the eggs as ordered just fine. I happen to prefer hashbrowns and they serve square homestyle potatoes. I have tried both of their sausage choices and I'm not a fan of either. Pancakes are their specialty I guess and they are good. They have some very extravagant looking pancake creations for people who want dessert for breakfast. Their eggs Benedict was just OK. I didn't love the ham or the hollandaise sauce. Their chili Verde is lacking in spice and spiciness. If you like your bacon crispy, definitely ask for it that way because it isn't by default. This place is OK and I still continue to go there, but they could definitely improve a few of their basic breakfast items. read more

We love Penny Anne's! This is our go to when we have a birthday, or visitors in town. The new Bountiful location is awesome because they have much more seating than the SLC one. Love that you can join the waitlist on Yelp too! We have tried a lot of things and yet to find something we don't like. The hot cakes truly are heavenly. My husband and I love eating here for breakfast/brunch. The dishes are large so we like to split a meal between us (which is saying something because my husband has an appetite!) My husband can't say enough good things about the fluffy pancakes. The only complaint we would have is trying to get seated quicker because we're hungry and their food is so good that they're always busy so we have to wait. Sebastian made our visit incredible. Good natured, attentive, great sense of humor, and quick to resolve issues like a forgotten plate of Heavenly Hot Cakes. The hot cake sandwich was our most novel dish: two sunny side up eggs and a split sausage sandwiched between three pancakes. Tasty, filling, and fun! The scone was HUGE. Sebastian even gave us a generous tower of whipped cream upon request. We threw some Penny Puffs on top to make it even more delicious. The Penny Puffs, by the way, were warm, cinnamon sugar delights. Think of bite-sized baby churro-scones. (You'll want to order a batch to go.) ;) The Small Breakfast with a sausage patty (Sebastian's recommendation, though he said the other meats were also delicious) was just the right portion, so if you're feeling hungry or want leftovers, go for the Big Breakfast. The Heavenly Hotcakes live up to the hype: light, fluffy, buttery texture with a sweet, slightly tangy flavor. You don't even need syrup, though the boysenberry really added to the meal. I wish we lived nearby so I could try out all their omelette varieties, eggs Benedict dishes, and their lunch and dinner options. Everything looks so good, and the place was hoppin'!
