If you're wondering if this would be worth the Uber ride to get to, I would say most definitely yes if you're looking to kill a few hours. I found so many different and interesting things, all of which were in my price range, some things were vintage, porcelain, new, or simply out of date. All of the things that I bought I'm absolutely in love with. They have everything that you could think of, kitchen stuff, fans, sports things, toys, clothing, shoes, glasses, jewelry, suits, high heels, dresses, and everything in between. The staff was very friendly, answered any questions that I had, and checked me out promptly. Wonderful experience.

If you are furnishing an apartment, this is the place to come or if you need a new appliance for your kitchen - check out Tandler first. Of course they have books and art as well. Bicycles, tennis racquets, toys - they have it all. What makes this place so special is that everything is so organized and the displays are so well done. Shopping for used goods has never been so much fun! Tip - the end station of the12A bus is a block away right in the middle of several super architecturally interesting housing projects from the era of Red Vienna

Initially I was like, F this, I'm just going to hang out in the bus or grab something to eat. After all, there are no shortage of generic outlet malls here in the states. But something dawned upon me .. why not zero in on brands that don't have an outlet presence in the US. So for a couple of hours I focused only on Euro-centric brands such as Aigner, Wellensteyn, etc. I was glad I made that choice as I was able to find some really good deals as a result. There's really no point in shopping for brands like Tommy Hilfiger here if you're an American visitor. But the prices you get for stuff like Aigner, Barbour etc are pretty good. In fact some of the prices were pretty awesome. We ended up with several bags of gifts and stuff for ourselves. Another note - the Burberry store (while common in the US) was really impressive. Huge and a big selection of items, though the sales we saw weren't nearly as good as the items they had at Aigner etc. Long story short, is it worth schlepping 45 minutes out of Vienna just to shop here? I would say no .. but if you do happen to find your way here and want to find good prices for European brands that you might not find easily in the US .. then I would say it's worth checking out a few stores to see if you get some decent items at good prices.

The Designer Outlet store Parndorf is located about 30 minutes south of vienna (reachable on the…read morehighway A4 to direction Budapest). Besides the architectural difference to shopping streets and malls inside vienna you can find here reduced prices for e.g. last years collection or products with minor defects. But those are sold (according to the shops at least) at 30% to 70% off the list prices. The stores are built to build a kind of cute village. For some stores this seems to be a marketing gag, for some others you can really achieve a great bargain. Its highly recommended to go there during the week, because on friday afternoons and all saturday its extremely crowded. Besides several fashion labels you can find shoes, sun glasses, sports and household stores. If youre lucky to have e.g. size 10 and above in shoes, you can buy MBT-Shoes there for unbelievable EUR 120,00 which cost in a regular MBT-Store 229,00.
