Communication was okay leading up our wedding. However, two days before our wedding, I got a call from Shelby, who told me that two people I never met were going to film our wedding. She gave me only their first names and offered no apology or explanation. Both my husband and I were pretty upset, but figured there was nothing we could do about it at that point, so we hoped for the best. Our contract with Forever Cherished Productions guaranteed a 4 month turn-around time on our wedding video. We didn't bother Aaron and Shelby until 4 months after our wedding when we hadn't heard anything from them and didn't receive our proof video. We emailed, we called...and we didn't hear back from anyone. Aaron and Shelby ignored our calls and emails for a total of 7 months. I was pretty sure that I would never receive a video at all at this point and was about to file a lawsuit. This company books too many weddings and cannot keep up with their deadlines. After your wedding, they won't return your calls and emails. They will use the excuse of "having problems with their email/voicemail" literally EVERY SINGLE TIME you try to reach them. I think they think that their clients are stupid enough to believe that they didn't get your message!) I had to threaten legal action to get their attention. We received our first video proof 7 months after our wedding. We were not impressed. It was clear that they had slapped it together as fast as they possibly could; the video itself was mediocre. We went back to them and asked them to edit out some of the duplicate footage and use some of the songs we liked. It was now more than a year after our wedding and we are still waiting for our final product...or even a response to the 15 messages we've sent since we got the proof. Through this process, I learned that I am not the only unhappy client of this company. They book as many weddings as they can, sub-contract out many of them to other videographers, and don't tell the bride and groom until just before your wedding (or in some cases, not at all). They will communicate with you up until the point of your wedding, at which point you will not hear from them again unless you threaten to sue them. If you do hear back from them, they will lie to you about the status of your video. They will work on your video when they are good and ready, and in no particular order. I am aware of at least one other bride who never got her wedding video...and it's been over two years. We finally did receive our video more than one year after our wedding, but we were disappointed with the final product and they never did make the minor song changes we requested. Dealing with Forever Cherished Productions has been an absolute nightmare and I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for a wedding videographer. They have been operating under the Forever Cherished name for at least three years and just changed their company name to "Style and Motion". I wondered why there were no good reviews for them on theknot, weddingwire, or yelp. Now I know why! I cannot put into words how happy I am with the video that Forever Cherished (now, Style and…read moreMotion) did (and I am a total snob when it comes to these kinds of things). The two most important things to me when it came to our wedding were the photography and videography (once it's done, that's all you have left). I searched for so many vendors and they were just priced way out of our budget. Forever Cherished was one of the last vendors I found; they had very high quality videos, were extremely personable and professional, and had the best value. I was thoroughly impressed with them, however, it wasn't until we received the video, did we realize what a great choice we made. It is AMAZING. Like, when I say amazing, that's only because I can't think of a stronger word to use. They are truly so talented (you can tell that when you have a totally botched, drunk, 12 minute best man speech that they edited down to seem like speech of the year). They totally captured our personalites and they've brought everyone who has watched it (including people we don't even personally know) down to tears. It is so beautiful and so telling of our story. It is like our own personal Hollywood movie, and our friends and family (and their friends!) have all raved about how incredible it is (because it truly is THAT great). I really couldn't have asked for anything more. You will not be sorry choosing them. In regards to the previous comment, I really don't know where they are coming from. Shelby and Aaron were very accessible throughout the process. We got married early October and got our wedding video back the first week of February. When you are going through the footage of three cameras, each filming eight hours, and then the level of detail they put into editing the final product, (and understanding this is their livelihood and they're offering great videos at reasonable costs), you can understand why it takes it a few months to get back. We would pay double!!…read more Though excited I didn't know what to expect the night we went to watch the preliminary 'clip' (or trailer) of our wedding video from Departing Line Studios. I knew they were awesome and a lot of fun while capturing our wedding day, but I've seen wedding videos in the past that were all very predictable and seemingly all the same. BUT after watching just the trailer alone - I stand corrected. Jeremy should be showing Kubrick and Scorcese how it's done! Our video trailer was truly EXCITING to watch and not just because it's OURS but because it is a piece of cinematic ART! I mean my hubby and I were there and obviously played a large role in the whole event but we were left guessing what was next, sitting on the edges of our seats completely enthralled in the video footage that played out in front of us wanting more! That being said... Once we were able to watch the entire video... WOW! Hands down it was theee thing that we were most excited about after the big day. It is something we still agree was the best decision we made when planning the wedding. Wedding pictures are amazing to have around for memories (believe me we had a phenomenal photographer and our pix are beautiful) but even our favorite photos pale in comparison to the wedding video. The video and trailer have several times allowed us to RE-live the moments from that special day. It's truly magical. When we watch the video (which we and our loved ones have done several times now) we find ourselves laughing, giggling, crying, kissing, laughing more, etc. Words cannot even describe the appreciation we have for Departing Line Studios with what they put together for us. We are forever grateful to them for capturing our story like they did and then to put everything together the way that they did afterwards to make it retell not just any story but OUR STORY. I know that many couples like us may be hesitant when booking videographers (and other large ticket services) as we all realize early on, prices add up quickly over the entire spectrum of planning an event. I understand, they do but please trust me when I say that if you decide to go with Departing Line Studios for videography there will be no regrets what so ever. In fact after witnessing their work... All the remaining décor is in boxes in the basement, the dress ended up in a garbage bag when leaving the hotel the following morning (don't judge ladies yours might too... lol), the cake and leftovers went home with friends and loved ones but all in all after the BIG DAY we weren't left holding on to much other than each other. Now... With the video we can go back and appreciate the dinner, cake and the cutting of the cake. When I want to watch our guests mingling around the room with the decorations placed ever so carefully I can. When I want to look at my dress and watch how it flowed around the room/dance floor all night I can. When we want to relive the "I Dos" we can. When I want to watch the look on my hubby's face when my father walked me down the aisle to him - I can... over and over and over. I'm sure you get it.
