I was in Almhult on business and the Ikea hotel was under renovation and the travel service for my company put me in a hotel miles away. The local employees found this bed and breakfast which was 4 miles from the office. And in typically miserably bad Swedish weather in November I was happy to only go 4 miles
The room I had shared the toilet/shower room. I had two other guys on my floor the week I was there. Fortunately they got up early to go to work so were out the door as I was waking up and had the shower all to myself.
Very clean throughout. The owners had a great spread of food for breakfast and even someone like me who does not eat wheat had a good breakfast every morning. WiFi access worked and even good enough for me to VPN into work when I was back at the B&B.
They had plenty of parking. The area around them is very picturesque and country like without being too far out in the country. It is my understanding a lot of people go there for walks/tours of the countryside.
If you need to do laundry plan it out ahead of time. There was no dryer, just a washer so clothes had to hang dry. Modest fee to wash clothes.
There were plenty of shops in the town of Almhult. And a refrigerator upstairs to keep food cold. Helped to have when I didn't feel like going out for dinner. read more
