The most notable and definitive action that makes me like or dislike the church is during the homily. If the priest can't keep my attention, then it's not a good fit. The outside of the church is nice, but the thing I don't like about the interior has always been the tiled floors. It always felt like it didn't belong in a church. It reminds me of a school, more than it does a church. I am forever seeking out a church that feels like home to me. I have yet to find it.

I came across merge community on a quick Google search and figured I would try it out because it was close to home. Little did I know That one visit was all it would take to know this is where my family is supposed to be. The worship service is absolutely incredible and the pastor has a really down to earth style of relating to everybody. Everybody was extremely welcoming, and I felt a sense of peace over me that I haven't felt in a long time. I strongly encourage anybody to give it a shot if they're looking for their new home church.

There's good gospel singing of new and traditional music. The Reverend Doctor Charles Bishop leads the worship with a loving sermon. If you need prayers, he is always willing to pray for you. Great seating is available and there's free parking in the paved lot in the rear. While there isn't a handicap ramp, if you need help to get in or out, someone will offer a hand. Family activities include Sunday School for adults and children, annual Fellowship dinners, and annual church picnics. There are Ladies meetings once a month.
