Damage to a neighbor's fence
Otto V.

Hands down the worst customer service of any company in the Chicago area. People's gas is in the process of moving all meters from the inside to the outside of the buildings. Before the works begin, people's gas promises to "RESTORE EVERYTHING TO PRE EXISTENCE CONDITIONS". But they don't Yes, they have a "Restoration Department" but, plain and simple they don't want to work. - They never answer the phone. The call back doesn't come until hours later, if you're lucky. No doubt hoping you are no longer available. - when I got to talk to someone, (Lisa) she assured me "EVERYTHING WILL BE RESTORED TO PRE EXISTING CONDITIONS, YOU JUST GOT TO GIVE THEM SOME TIME".  Five months later, that time hasn't come. - When I insisted in talking with a supervisor,  W. Burns contacted me claiming to be the construction manager. Later, mr. N. Slattery claimed to be mr. Burns supervisor. Both assured me: "everything would be restored to pre existing conditions". But they don't want to work. They wanted me to do their job: to talk to MEADE ELECTRIC CO'S people. The people who did the damage to begin  with. That is their job. Not mine; I did not hire Meade Electric. People's Gas did. Both, W. Burns and N. Slattery visited the worksite but only with the company of Meade electric workers. Not to request of Meade to do the right thing and restore property to pre existing conditions, but to gang up and try to bully me into accepting anything Meade wanted: to patch things at as low cost as possible. I asked mr Slattery to refer me to his supervisor, since he was unable to ask Meade to live up to People's Gas promises to restore damages to pre existing conditions. His answer?: "I HAVE NO SUPERVISOR. YOU LET MEADE DO WHAT THEY WANT, OR WE WON'T REPAIR ANYTHING". My advice? Take pictures. Lots of them. Before, during and after construction. Document everything. Request everything in writing. Meade Electric is reckless and uses "Laborers" workers for all repairs. Concrete, landscape, painting... everything would be repaired by low pay, unskilled laborers workers.

This is how im heating my water bc of peoples gas

I was told I either install it now in June of 2026 and NOT get a rebate or wait till January to TRY to get the next year's rebate. So now I either charger my car at charging stations for a higher rate and a much higher inconvenience or just install it at and not get a rebate. Not back dating rebates is unfair to the people who bought a new vehicle half way though the year thinking they would get some rebate. Being told to just install the ev charger at home and not get the rebate by customer service isn't what they should be doing. It's a $2500 you only offer to a small amount of people don't feel good about yourself.

They send late fees for no reason with no explanation and one day I tried calling to ask why and representative who answered picked up the phone while laughing and asked me what I wanted. They have also charged me 6 different times for late fees for no reason and my building manager has had to call them to get it dropped. There is no reason for that even to happen in the first place. Lastly, what company in 2015 doesn't let you pay through your own bank? I bank with chase (like millions of other ppl around Chicago) There is no way I would ever set up direct billing with AUM because I would be charged for all sorts of random things. The worst part about it is you want to make an individual payment to them they charge you a $7.50 fee because it has to be be done on their website or mailed by check. They also don't accept credit cards over the phone! I'm sorry, but what is that shit?? Are we living in 1992? I am not renewing my lease for the simple fact that I will not pay such an awful company such as AUM a penny more.

Whether it's your…read morefirst time in Chicago or your tenth, seeing the city from 103 stories up is an unforgettable experience. The views are breathtaking, and stepping onto The Ledge is both terrifying and exhilarating. Standing on a glass floor 1,353 feet above the streets of Chicago definitely gets your heart racing! On a clear day, you can see four different states, which makes you realize just how incredible the view really is. I also loved that the experience begins long before you reach the top. There are interactive exhibits and fun facts about Chicago and Willis Tower that make the wait enjoyable and help build the anticipation. Fun fact: The glass boxes of The Ledge extend 4.3 feet outside the building and are made of multiple layers of laminated glass strong enough to hold up to 10,000 pounds. Knowing that didn't completely calm my nerves, but it certainly helped! If you're visiting Chicago, Skydeck is a must-do. The combination of stunning views, fascinating history, and an adrenaline rush makes it well worth the visit. Five stars without hesitation!

You start by going…read morethrough the bottom floor and there's a ton photo opportunities and history about Chicago and the Willis tower. There's information about different Chicago foods including the deep dish pizzas, Chicago style dogs, jabiritos, and more! Once you get through the bottom floor, you take an elevator up all the way to the sky deck. The elevator travels at 18mph! And it takes really quick time to travel up. But during the way up, there's a ton of information that's played in a video. You can feel your ears popping as you change altitude. Thought it was really cool to experience. Once you reach the top (103 floors) , you can look at all 4 sides of the view and it's stunning! Once you're ready to go into the glass floor, staff take two groups at a time for efficiency for each window. They will take photos for you with the company camera, and then will allow you 90 seconds for your own pictures and photos. That's how the line keeps moving without anyone taking too long. After you're finished you can hop back into line for the elevator down. I thought this was well worth it. The photos and the views and efficiency was well executed. Definitely recommend!
