There is so much to see at this Antique Center! There are a TON of antique shops in Lambertville, and this is probably the best one. Three full floors, completely stocked with different stalls of curated, vintage and antique goods. From the outside, you'd never know how big the space is. Like any antiques store, I'm sure it can be hit or miss. They probably have new things arriving every day. Some of the stalls were very reasonably priced, while others were a bit expensive. They had a lot of affordable wall art and paintings which was fun to see. There is really something for everyone to see here. We spent about 1.5 hours, we could've spent more if we really took our time. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. We have been here a couple of times and if you like to browse through Antiques, you will find plenty in Lambertville, Pennsylvania. This place has rows and rows of different things, on different floors, it'll keep you busy for a couple of hours depending on what you might find. We fell in love with an Apothecary cabinet. I know our first visit here we literally browsed and couldn't decide what to get but knew we would be back soon. Then coming back again, we loved this piece and knew we wanted to have it. Prices are all listed. If you look through display cases you might need to ask for assistance if you can't find the price. There is an upstairs and a lower level to wander more. Location is set down a busy, quaint main street. Friendly staff, various prices listed depending on what you want. Staff packed this item well and carefully made sure it was intact before wrapping it up. It was heavy, but we love it. I'm always a fan of antique centers representing individual vendors ... and this is a good one. It's big, prices are by-and-large fair and there's a good mix of collectibles. The proprietors are friendly and helpful. My daughter and I were on the hunt for art, and while there was a good amount to choose from, nothing said 'take me home.' Such a great antique shop in Lambertville, nj. After stopping by a few antique/consignment shops in New Hope we were on the hunt for somewhere really unique and worth the hunt. I am beyond thankful to our B&B hosts for suggesting the People's Store to us! My husband and I spent a couple hours touring 3 of the 4 floors and enjoyed just taking it all in. So many beautiful pieces of art and jewelry, it's truly incredible how much is packed into this place. The owners were the kindest people and on each floor a worker greeted us and asked if they could help us with anything. I fell in love with a beautiful ring and the owners went above and beyond in showing the ring to us and offering to resize it for me. It was an incredible afternoon for us. It can be hit or miss but usually more hits . I have found some truly remarkable big and smalls here . The staff is super helpful. This is the type of place you need to come with low expectations and be pleasantly surprised . I wish I knew how often the vendors switched out merchandise but I guess that's the mystery of life Regardless, I always find something here . Nice big space, lots of things to see. Upper floors had more items that are in my style. Everyone was nice and helpful when we tried getting a price for an item. My only negative would be that a lot of the items are very over priced. I understand things have to marked up but it kind of felt like it was just marked up way too high. Just my opinion ( and budget). Definitely a cool place to visit and see lots of beautiful interesting things. The third floor had really cool artist studios where you could see original art by the actual artist. That was a real treat. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with how great this antique shop was. It was MUCH larger than I expected and had plenty to look at. I am a bargain hunter so based on the high end items on the first floor I didn't expect to find much. Thankfully I kept looking and found 2 more floors filled with some more affordable things. This is one of my favorite places to visit in Lambertville. It contains an absolutely amazing array of things. Here is a list of examples from today: 7 foot or so tall intricately inlaid "grandfather-style" clock, Midcentury modern chandelier so unusual I never did figure out what kind of light bulbs it used or how you put them in, several closely packed shelves of vintage Christmas ornaments, an Art Deco bed from the 1920 and on the fourth floor two women creating paintings on canvas in light-filled spaces amid imaginative repurposed, recycled furniture. It was a solid 90 minutes or so of continual amusement and delight - all for the effort it took to walk in the door! Over the years I have bought any number of large and small things for my home here. It is an antiques "mall," meaning that lots of dealers have put their stuff here and take turns staffing it. When I've had questions the people working the floor have done their best to get me information and dicker a bit on the price. I'm sure I would have been able to get the contact info for the actual owner if I had really felt the need but I never have. Understand that prices vary, quality varies, inventory fluctuates but the entertainment value, and thrill of the hunt, does not! read more

Marvelous attractive store filled w antique & vintage gems of all varieties. My friend purchased an antique sterling silver fish knife as a gift for her daughter-in-law. The gentleman who helped us was a silver expert & helped us navigate all of the treasures until she decided on the perfect one. I purchased a necklace w vintage citrine stones & fresh water pearls which is beautiful. I wanted to love this place. But that is pretty far from my feeling. I should start by saying I've been buying antiques for decades. Part of the pleasure is chatting with dealers who usually are a friendly, knowledgable bunch. You can learn lots. The piece you buy always is more special for that whole experience. Not here. First time in on Friday, the dealer for the booth was pretty helpful, but the desk staff (rotating-dealers taking turns?) was just short of rude-passing over a tape measure and ignoring me trying to return it and thanking them. I went back Saturday (again, no one ever greeted us nor did I see that with anyone else walking in ) to find a slightly more pleasant couple who did contact the dealer for price and called to pass it on to me. Took all afternoon, but not their fault. I appreciated that. But today clinched this review. We went to pick up the pieces. After the transaction and removing anything from the top and drawers we were most deliberately on our own getting them out of the building. Not that we expected anyone to carry them, but just juggling people walking through the door, in the aisles was tough. No one even offered to help with the door-except a passerby. And certainly no one said thank you, come back! Far as I can tell, these folks think they are doing you a favor letting you buy something from them. I have a new house to furnish, there are lots of nice dealers out there, so I plan to go to them and I suggest you patronize them, not People's Store. By the way, this is the first negative review I've ever written on Yelp. read more

Large antique store consisting of 4 floors. Each floor appears to be divided into sections consisting of merchandise from different dealers. This used to be my favorite store in lambertville until yesterday. On the first floor-I had an item picked out for $20. I asked if they could reduce that to take into account the item was kinda broken. The nice lady said they do not discount under $20. She said they would discount $22 down to $20. We found a second item not priced. They called the dealer and came back with $22. So we offered to take both for $40 instead of $42.... And the old manat the counter refused with the meanest, nastiest most condescending tone I have ever heard. So... Whereas I would have paid the extra 2 bucks... This troll's attitude lost the sale. I still gave it 2 stars because I did make a purchase on the 2nd floor and the woman was a pleasure to deal with. But I will not be returning. read more

I've been a fan of The People's Store for more years than I can remember. The assortment is so varied that it's hard not to find something on every visit. The ephemera is especially awesome with a booth dedicated to old pinback buttons and advertising, and another with great old toys, and the prices are very reasonable. Well worth a visit. read more

I really like Peoples. It's four floors, and the vendors are varied so there's a wide range of stuff to browse through -- from political buttons right on up to furniture and paintings. There are lots of rooms to poke into, so it's best when you have some time to really rummage around. There are a number of different stores in town that cater to this market but my experience is that Peoples has the most varied mix of stuff and the best buys. The Peoples Store is one of the best Antique Centers on the east coast. The building is historical early 1800's which offers much charm to the shopping experience. As an Interior Designer, I find that Peoples has everything I could ever dream of all under one roof. I have designed many commercial, and residential interiors all from a one stop shop at the Peoples Store. From fine quality rare antiques, European Antiques, some mid century furniture, a splash of architectural and industrial, Primitive pieces, vintage china, and fabulous textiles. They even have a great silver collection, and awesome glassware and artwork. The 4 floors are all packed with unusual and hard to find pieces. Its not just the average shop of basic antiques, it has the best dealers from all over the place. The Dealers and the management are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
