They are very nice when you are looking to sign up. Had tank filled the first time and gas was at 2.73 per gal. Next fill before winter, gas was 4.45 per gal. I understand prices fluctuate so we filled up again. While the driver filling tank is doing his job, I chatted with him, he said the owner jacks up the price for those in our neighborhood because we live in a resort community. I was pissed at that point. Gas worked fine until wouldn't light. I called for service, they never came out or called back. I had the Company that installed the indoor unit "logs" and he vacuumed it and showed me how to keep it clean and gave me a discounted price for a pressure test. It passed the test. I clean it often as instructed and it worked fine for two years. Fired it up this year and have a terrible smell. It was cleaned before starting for the season but the smell was so bad we couldn't use it. Called the original fireplace company to service it again but they no longer do propane fire logs. So I called Pep up as suggested by the rep & placed a service request with a very helpful pep up employee named Debbie. She submitted my service request and said I would get a call within 24 hrs. 3 days later and still no call. So I call them and talked to a very rude pep up person named Lynn. I mentioned I was recording the call and she changed her tune quickly. She said I had a leak but 2 months ago the tank was at 37%. After talking with her about getting a service appointment, I went outside and the tank is still at 37%. Doesn't seem to be leaking at the tank side or line into house. I'm still waiting for a call back. My experience so far is that they don't really care about the customer and employees hate working there. They want to charge me a non usage fee when I can't use it and they won't service it. Should I get legal advice? read more

Reported suspected gas leak, maintenance man told me my tank was empty and I told him there was a very strong gas odor coming from my stove. He told me it was because my tank was empty and he would have someone come fill it. Driver filled tank and I also informed him that I thought there was a leak, he also told me it was because tank was empty. I'm on an automatic monitoring system so it never should have run out. 5 hours later the smell was worse. Called them back and this time he actually came in the house to check for leaks!!! I think this is the worst company. They allow their customers to run completely out of fuel. In fact, they have the adasity to ask you the customer "Do you think you are out of oil. This was not the case when it was pepup, but sadly being own by tri- gas this is the service you get read more

I see some negative reviews here, but that hasn't been my experience. I've been getting my heating oil from Pep-Up for a number of years and they have been great. They've always been nice on the phone. When I saw prices were about to rise they accommodated me by delivering to me before the scheduled date so I could still get the lower price. And then I learned that my kerosene burning furnace could burn some cheaper heating oils so they verified it and switched me over. Nothing bad to say about them so far... read more

Here's your free tip! Anywhere else but Pep Up Both times I spoke with the Pocomoke City Pep Up office I was shocked at how rudely the woman spoke to me. I just read another review here that indicates it's a chronic problem. Terrible company! They charge extra per gallon for delivery, wont work with you on a payment or budget plan. Then when you try to quit service they want to charge you $150 to pick up THEIR tank. I refuse to support a scam like this. Buyer beware! read more

I am getting rid of Pep-Up...They just refused to accept the fact that their system never worked properly! It did not matter how many times I stressed that fact..Their propane tank will be removed from my residence in June ,and I dilo not wish to deal with this company again..87 dollars for a fuse,right before the entire system failed to keep,my home warm..Also paid high -dollar for propane during the Winter months. These ppl made 3 trips to my residence and did not even know what a carbon monoxide detector looks like,even though it was on the wall in my living room..Furthermore: after signing contract to lease the propane tank,I learned that there was no filter in the furnace and was getting sick from using it ..Never again will I deal with Pep-Up !!! I do not want any Monster buried beneath the ground that sounds like a giant drum beating throughout the night..Keepers/Creepers.,Just get the friggin'tank tank off of my residence.,Sell it to someone else and BE DONE with it.!!!!! I was told by the previous owner of my house that the best thing i could do was get rid of the Pep-Up tank in the yard and switch to a different company. Since the tank was already in place I decided not to heed his advice and give them a try. I should've listened to him. The woman that answered the phone there always had an attitude. Some days she was so bad my wife hated to call them to order propane. On numerous occasions I'd order propane and it wouldn't be delivered on the day they said they'd bring it, one time even sending it to the wrong address and by the time the truck showed back up at the shop it was too late to deliver it to me. I used their repair service a couple times because I didn't know any other repair service in the area and they overcharged for simple fixes. I quickly found a reputable repair man and never used them again. Do yourself a favor and use Sharp or someone else. I'm surprised this company is still in business read more

This is one of the worst propane companies that I have EVER done business with! I would quit them if it were not for the money they want to remove their tank!! My home contractor set me up with them and had I know what I know now, I would NEVER had started with them, charged me 75$ to do a "safety " inspection that they were unable to complete, extra to make a delivery that was different than their "normal" schedule----Rip-off group for sure, highest price propane on the shore---GO SOME PLACE ELSE---ANY PLACE BUT PEP-UP!!!!! read more
