I cannot say enough GREAT things about this eatery! Let me start by stating, I'm a rather particular/picky person. Most who know me or get to know me, realize this in 10 minutes. In sharing this, it puts some people off or at a disadvantage. Also, I am customer service oriented and strive for excellence. When I see others who do not, well it just bothers me. When I began ordering at this restaurant almost 2 years ago everyone there was extremely helpful. My first several visits were great! The food was freshly prepared, they were very accommodating and accurate with my order, even realizing that I had an allergy that needed to be handled with care. The layout of the restaurant is nicely arranged and the ambiance is warm and inviting. I prefer to sit in the bar area (at a table) because I like to people watch those coming and going. It is also easier to get someone's attention if you want to add something to your order or refill a drink. Since this year of the pandemic, I have been ordering for delivery and they definitely deliver in my area! They have been phenomenal with regard to my requests and making sure my allergy is not effected badly. Even my silly 'cherry' request with my dessert has been a blessing during this crazy year! When people say it is the small things that matter, it truly is! The birthday dessert was a nice surprise too! Their online ordering system isn't my favorite, but if you get it to work correctly I love that it schedules your delivery! My food came a bit early, but I was not complaining. They have a ton of options and I wish they gave descriptions online. Everything I ordered was solid though. Mongolian Beef - delicious! Tons of onions and peppers though. Their spicy is not spicy so if you want it hot you might want to ask for it spicier than usual. Tofu with Garlic Sauce - heavy on the sauce, but delicious! Love the vegetables. Fried Rice and Low Mein were good. Nothing to rave about. Vietnamese Egg Rolls - I love that it actually came with lettuce, vegetables and rice noodles to wrap it traditionally. The only disappointment I've ever had was with the eggplant being undercooked. when I've eaten in the service was great too, but about average for a Chinese restaurant in ambiance, I don't really think of it as an eating in place. read more

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Denver. The veggies are always perfectly cooked and fresh, their spicy levels are always consistent, and the portions are huge. I like that they also give you the option of substituting rice for lo mein. Super yummy and affordable. Highly recommended! read more

I cannot tell you enough how much I love this place! Strangely enough, I've never actually been to the restaurant but I have ordered it numerous times as a lunch reward for my co-workers and I've always been super impressed with their food & service! Online ordering is very easy (even for a team of 20+!) and we always get everything we ordered, usually no mistakes, which is truly amazing. I love Pepper Asian Bistro! I've never received a disappointing meal from this place and to be honest I don't think I ever will. The staff does where masks, but since this location is on the smaller side, it's harder to social distance from other customers. There's hardly parking, being in a residential area on Colfax, and with it being winter waiting outside could be a bit extreme. If you're able to get a good street parking spot, I suggest waiting in your car for your pickup order. However, it's a gamble knowing when your food will actually be ready. The wait times are generally 40-45 mins because this place is POPULAR and rightfully so. It's delicious! Delivery or pickup, you should absolutely try this Asian Bistro. read more

Wanted to give this Asian Fusion place a try but it was a huge disappointment. I am giving it one star because the service was nice. Ordered the chicken wings appetizer and it was waaayy too hard to eat, there was flavor but it was hidden under a thick hard layer of tempura batter. Lo-Mein was a weird color, more red. I would strongly recommend you ask for level 3 spice or above if your concern is a lack of flavor in your dish; this spot has 5 different spice levels. Pepper Asain Bistro has a little of every asian taste---thai, chinese, japanese, vietnamese etc. Without having to be limited to just one asain cuisine, my cravings have been completely satisfied. The kun pao was perfect! It was exactly as spicy as I needed it to be and the dry chili peppers were evident in the dish. The shrimp was bountiful, big and delicious. The vegetables within it were slightly charred but still freshly crispy. I was pleasantly surprised that the thai tea had the option of being made with soymilk. This was my first experience with thai tea, and it was okay. It was not overly sweet and nor overly bitter. The ombre was beautiful to look at. Lastly, I had the mango sticky rice. The mango were just beginning to become overripe, which, in my opinion, complimented the coconut-milk drenched rice very well. The portions were large, cost was economical and service was quick! When your servers, and bartenders, and waiters, remember that you like HOT OIL, but really no oil, and just the seeds, ONLY AFTER ONE VISIT.......AND tell you jokes while you wait for your food?? This is nine years overdo. Pepper is the most consistent delivery in Denver. In nine years ordering delivery from here, I've only had one order wrong and it was a minuscule mistake-I mean a sprite instead of a Diet Coke. It's always piping hot/fresh, and any modifications made-usually extra onions for me in the Mongolian beef because for whatever reason those onions are insanely good, or extra cabbage when I order a side of steamed veggies- they accommodate and get it right every freaking time. They deliver exceedingly fast, and the delivery drivers are friendly. Every time I have eaten in the restaurant- in which I highly recommend if you haven't- my food is always fresh,hot and flavorful. Also-eating at the restaurant during busy dinner hours is impressive because of the high volume of to-go orders. Eating in made me appreciate how they get my delivery orders right every.single.time. I've ordered a few times from here in the last month or so. It's an inconsistent experience. Today my lunch order placed at 2pm took a full hour to arrive, even though the restaurant is 15 minutes from my place. I ordered the lunch special of Kung Pao chicken which is supposed to come with a free egg roll, and fresh spring rolls. Egg roll was missing from order. The Kung Pao Chicken has honey roasted peanuts, making it way too sweet. And it's not as generous a portion as the nearby Sweet Rice Cafe. Not so good. Last time I ordered the fried rice was super oily. Wish it was better. I guess I'll stick to Sweet Rice. read more

How they get from Colfax to Baker with my chicken still hot and crispy even though it's soaking in delicious spicy sweet orange sauce is a dang miracle (unlike other *cough* East Tao *cough* Chinese delivery places). They give you a whole section of steamed vegetables that still have a little fresh bite to them. Pepper manages to take your standard American Chinese fare and elevate it just enough to make it special but not so much that you don't get your craving fulfilled. This tends to be my go-to when I am craving comfort food on a rainy day. Their hot and sour soup is my favorite of any place I have tried. So much flavor and has a freshness to it. Delivery Order review- Great service! I ordered from here, and not somewhere else simply because the ONLY restaurant I could find other than a pizza place that accepts cash orders. I want to give them an extra star just for that 5 stars! Extremely frustrating it's all Grubhub or some other card only option nowadays. A LOT of places have lost out on money from me for this reason alone. I love how they put Gluten Free on the container. The drunken noodles were very good, but not very spicy. We are visiting Denver from Kansas City, and are big Asian food fans. The Japanese fried rice is the best rice, hands down, we have ever had. It was absolutely amazing. The Lo Mein was great too, it was light and didn't sit heavy while having a lot of taste. They staff was friendly and helpful, but not pushy which is always a plus. They had the window garage window open when we were there and there was a beautiful breeze and city noise, with nice soft background music. After a big meal, it was very drowsy and peaceful.
