It's good but kinda gimmicky for what it is... All of the ingredients are very simple but everything is tied together with the sizzle on the iron hotplate. If you take away the sizzle, then you're just left with a stir fry. I wished that whenever I order extra ingredients like an egg, green onion, and mushrooms these items would be on the main hotplate and not on a separate one where I have to transfer over. Overall I would go here for a simple lunch. The service was awesome!

My son and I went for lunch, over all good experiences but it's not much different than Burning Rice or Hibachi other than the sauces are different if you don't get teriyaki. Service was great, food was pretty good. Check in/order from the kiosk was horrible slow. Only 2 kiosks, had the line backed up out the door because the process is so slow and people stand there and look at everything, took longer to get through this process with only 3 couples in front of us than it did to get food and eat. For this reason I won't be back, not that great to wait for a short line. Hopefully they can fix this, it's huge problem.

Great service, plenty of seating, and a nice atmosphere. I ordered the brisket garlic rice with added kimchi, and the flavor was delicious. The only downside was that the brisket seemed to be fully cooked already, so the extra sizzling on the hot plate made some of the pieces burnt.

The beef pepper lunch was yummy, but nothing special. It's just fried rice that you have to stir up. You can add more toppings, but it does add up. I do wish they give you more beef. You place your order at the kiosk, grab buzzer, & have a seat at any table available. They bring you your order & ask if you want them to mix it up for you.

Service was good helpful they cleaned our tables. It was very busy. We were still able to manage to get a table. Service was decently quick. We did not have to wait. Long food was tasty. Enjoying the sauces. Prices around 13 to 16 per person potentially 20 if you want extra toppings.

You order at a kiosk and sit wherever you'd like. The staff brings out your food to your table. I'd say the portions are pretty big, and the food comes out fairly quickly. It's a great quick meal that will fill you up.

We went here for our weekly date night and we thought it was a terrific concept! I got the beef curry and my partner got the pepper beef, daring, I know. Cooking the meat in the cast iron bowl was novel and the staff offered to do it for us if we felt uncomfortable doing it. The beef was of good quality for the price and the curry sauce was quite tasty. Each plate is something of a blank slate without add-on toppings such as egg and various vegetables. By default they only come with meat, onions, rice, and corn. The sauces at the table were also quite tasty. The service was outstanding. There was a line out the door the whole time we were there and it was always moving quickly. Despite the crowd, the staff brought us our food with haste and made sure our needs were met. We will certainly be returning.

Despite the chaos of a Friday night right after open, Pepper Lunch exceeded all expectations. I enjoyed the kiosk ordering and imagine once the hype dies down a bit ordering that way will be perfect. There was someone guiding us to an open table near the front, which was very efficient from what we could tell. We sat near the ordering kiosks and it seemed no one waited for a table for too long. Food took about 10 minutes to come out. I really liked my beef pepper rice. I wish the egg had come with it, but it's definitely an important add on -- get the egg. The sauces at the table were more than sufficient, and I really liked the garlic soy. I'd say the beef amount was too small for me, and next time I'd consider getting extra beef. Everything was cooked nicely and was a good amount of food for money, and our drinks were kept topped up by the staff despite the busy evening. Overall, I'm looking forward to returning. I think I'd like to try one of the pasta dishes next.

I've been anxiously waiting for this to open. I went to Pepperlunch for the first time in Hong Kong decades ago and fell in love. You come in and order through a tablet kiosk, given a buzzer, and then you get seated. My family and I were invited for a soft opening dinner. Grand opening is this weekend. We got to try the popular but traditional pepper beef and the kimchi pepper beef. My kids had the pasta and chicken and the karaage and fries. We also ordered drinks: fountain lemonade and the dragonfruit drink (highly recommend). Sides I ordered were regular French fries, sweet potato fries and the onion rings. They were all the right amount of crispiness! The pepper beef dishes were just as I remembered. Everything just melted in my mouth. My server mixed my dish and helped to cook it for me.The foot stayed super hot and fresh on the sizzling hot plate. What was lacking were the kids' dishes. The pasta was plain and needing the garlic soy sauce and the sweet sauce on the table. The karaage was too hard and not tender and juicy enough inside. They forgot my onion rings, but they were delivered after we finished our meal. Service was great and friendly. Decor and ambience was clean, fresh, and modern. You're going to need some patience waiting for your food, but it's worth it. They're still working out the kinks.

Service was fast and the concept is neat. It's very quick to order and eat if you're literally on your lunch break. lot of people there for a lunch and seemed like they knew what this restaurant was or what they offer. But not a long wait

A bit on the pricer side but it's a good experience. It was good and the actual experience of the food coming out and the sizzling was exciting but I don't know if I would come back.

The food was delicious, and there were many plates to choose from! The service was amazing! The waiters offered to prepare our plates since it was our first time! And the ambiance is great! The decorations are nice! Really loved the place, will come back again! Loved the sizzling experience!!!

I was stoked to see this new food spot! I came the week after the grand opening and it was super busy, as expected. Food was pretty pricey, with us spending around $80 for 2 bowls and 2 sides. I don't mind spending on good food at allll but I don't think this was worth it. Onion rings were really good and sweet potato fries were just okay (more like wedges and not seasoned at all). The bowls are super customizable but with every ingredient costing $2, it adds up. Why are things like green onions $1.99? :( On top of that, the only seasoning that can actually be tasted is pepper so overall it was pretty bland. Sad to say that this did not meet our expectations.

To the right there are two huge kiosks. Plus a menu board above your head. Extreme overload IMO. I'll address the ambiance, this place needs a cleaning. Crumbs on table and seating. A young lady came to front and asked if it was my first time. I'm sure I appeared overwhelmed. (I was). She told me to use my phone to access the QR code at the table. AND to seat myself. AGAIN, This was extreme overload. I only wanted to order and pay cash. No physical menus in sight. The QR code is Apple Pay. Ugh. I'm old school and don't have all this stuff on my phone. I need it simple. I need a human connection. Not being able to see my food being cooked should have been another warning. What are you hiding?? Everyone wants a tip for doing nothing! Come on. I will never be guilted into leaving a tip for doing nothing. My shrimp rolls were brought to me with 2 packets "of to go Duck sauce". How original is that? The Tuna Rolls are covered with some mayo mix. The offer she did give me after the tuna rolls were delivered was Sriracha sauce, Louisiana sauce, or packets of soy sauce. Ugh. Really?? My food was terrible. I left 6 rolls of 7 uneaten. Odd number to deliver to the table. One bite of the tuna rolls and I knew it was best I NOT eat anything. Sushi is something this place should NEVER serve. Eat here at your own risk. Maybe the hibachi is safe. However, I'm not willing to ever take that risk. The business stayed busy with outgoing orders. Refreshing Surprise - Passion & Care…read more I was down the street getting a haircut and had a craving for sushi, so I opened Yelp, spotted Kanzi, and decided to swing by. I'm so glad I did. Kanzi is one of those refreshing surprises: an approachable neighborhood sushi spot that clearly cares about the details. They may not be trying to be an ultra high-end omakase destination with otoro and uni, but what they do offer, they execute with care, precision, and pride. The fish was clearly well stored and well cared for, and the cuts were clean and thoughtful. I tried the red snapper, eel, mackerel, yellowtail, masago, super white tuna with fresh wasabi, and one roll: the no-rice Cool Hawaiian. I'll post a few pictures as well because the presentation really deserves it. I sat at the bar and had the chance to talk with Hong, the chef preparing my food. I learned that he took over the restaurant from his brother and still visits sushi restaurants around DFW at least twice a week to keep learning, tasting, and improving his own craft. That told me everything I needed to know. There is real passion here. Hong believes the details matter, from a clean bathroom to the right Japanese knife, specially purchased for left-handed use. That kind of care shows up in the food and in the overall experience. Go visit Kanzi, sit at the bar if you can, and tell Hong that Tait says hello -- and thank you. Pro Tip: Kanzi is currently BYOB. There is a liquor store right across the parking lot, literally within about 50 feet. Walk in, head to the cooler on the far right, grab a cold bottle of sake, and bring it back with you. Kanzi has sake cups ready to go, which makes the whole experience even better.

The hibachi experience at Jinbeh is top-tier. We recently went with our family in December and had a blast. Our chef Gill was funny, skilled, and had the whole table laughing. The kids absolutely loved the volcano trick and sushi rolls. It's dinner and a show every single time. If you want a Japanese steakhouse in Frisco that actually delivers entertainment and amazing food, this is it. But the sushi in Frisco doesn't get any better than this either. We like getting rolls with our hibachi experience. Everything is incredibly fresh, from the salmon sashimi to the specialty rolls. The dragon roll is a must-try. My favorite is lobster volcano roll. Our family has gone for birthdays before. The birthday song, a dessert, and the chef even did extra tricks for her table. If you need a birthday dinner spot in Frisco or a graduation party venue, Jinbeh handles large groups effortlessly. We had 12 people one time and the staff seated us together without a hitch. A couple of other things worth mentioning. The lunch specials are a fantastic value. Generous portions at a very reasonable price. I hear their catering in Frisco is excellent and the sushi platters are a huge hit. Whether you're coming from Plano or Allen, Jinbeh is worth the short drive. It's the kind of place where the staff remembers your name, the food is consistently excellent, and you leave with leftovers and a smile. Easily the best Japanese food in Frisco and one of the best Asian restaurants in DFW. Highly recommend -- we will absolutely be back.
