My extended family stayed in this apartment and we congregated here as it was the bigger of the 2 rooms. Immediately upon walking in, you are met with the stunning view of Lake Wakatipu. Loved the tall windows spanning the length of the apartment and the skylight near the balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery and cookware if you wanted to cook. There's also a washing machine and dryer and they supply dry detergent which is super helpful for our longish trip overseas. Also loved the gas fireplace on those cold days while lounging looking out at the lake. There were 2 separate rooms each with their own bathroom-1 room had the queen? sized bed closer to the living room and the other room was by the entrance of the apartment which had 2 twin sized beds. You can also walk out to the balcony and enjoy the fresh air of NZ. I believe they were doing some remodeling at the time but it was a bit inconvenient to get to the apartment-first take an elevator to a different floor, then pass through the parking garage, then take another elevator, then short walk to the apartment... hence the lower than 5 stars. Also the breakfast buffet was pretty small but it did the job. The location is right by the lake and only a 10 min walk to the downtown. I would definitely recommend to stay here if you're visiting Queenstown and maybe go to another place for breakfast. read more

Peppers is a lovely hotel in a great location just a short walk from the centre of Queenstown. It is currently undergoing some renovations/modernisation. I stayed for two nights & was very comfortable. An early start on my first morning meant that I was unable to access the hotel breakfast as this was served from the slightly late time of 7am. Thankfully a breakfast bag was delivered to my room, which I was able to then take with me. The second day I was able to take full advantage of the hotel breakfast which had the usual array of cereals, bread, pastries, fruit (fresh & tinned) & hot foods. It certainly set me up for the day. There is a patio courtyard between the two buildings, these have a couple off BBQs for residents to use. It is a very pleasant space. The room I had was very comfortable with a bedroom that had a massive bed & a small lounge area with the bathroom randomly adjacent to it rather than direct access from the bedroom. There were tea & coffee making facilities & also cutlery & crockery available if you were dining in your room (no cooking facilities though other than the previously mentioned BBQ). The hotel does not have free wifi & at $15 per day I decided it was not worth investing in as I was in the hotel itself for such a limited time. I would happily stay at Peppers if I found myself in Queenstown again. read more

Our travel agent booked us here because we were three couples and wanted a suite with a large kitchen we could cook in. We were pretty disappointed with the quality of the rooms and the run down furnishings. We had a two bedroom suite on the 10th floor that had stained, very old furniture. We also had a huge two bedroom suite that was considered the penthouse. The kitchen part of the penthouse was really nice, but the again, the furniture in the living room area was run down, the carpet was stained, the home theatre didn't even work. The views were absolutely stunning, though, so if you want a great view of the lake, then you'll get it here. We found the customer service very lacking and the staff wasn't helpful at all. We had to bring our own luggage up to our rooms, and when we called the front desk for anything, the answers we got were either wrong or indifferent. There was no real commitment to taking care of guests. We wanted to be in Queenstown, but this was a little bit of a further walk into town than we would have liked. Bottom line: We wouldn't recommend this place, despite the beautiful view and nice kitchen. read more
This is a beautiful property with a prime location-rooms each have A spectacular lake view (with no need to pay extra for a view) and the walk into town is easy peasy as well as scenic (simply follow the path on the lake 5 minutes into town). We stayed in one of the less luxe rooms and it was still quite nice with a separate sitting and bedroom areas. As an extra bonus, a set of French doors with blackout shades make the bedroom a virtual cave, which allows for excellent post jet lag slumber. And, breakfast was included in our booking, which is always a plus. We had a few odd encounters while we stayed that prevented a 5 star rating. First, our room was supposed to have been cleaned and we came into a partially made bed, plastic trash liners scattered on the floor and new towels. Um, okay. Next, when getting breakfast, we didn't understand (nor was it explained) that we had the continental breakfast as part of our package, which included only the cold items on the buffet. We learned this as my husband was scolded for having items from the other line when they asked for our room number (not sure what gave it away that we were from the wrong side of the room tracks/breakfast smugglers. We've had a few good laughs about it along the way, so I guess it's all good). Finally, when we arrived, the room was set as 2 twin beds, but this was easily remedied. Would definitely stay again. read more

Terrible hotel. You pay for a "5 star" hotel but you're not gonna free Internet and breakfast. Housekeeping attendants are rude and tgey don't clean well. Avoid this hotel at all cost. Waste of money. read more

Tired interiors. Uncomfortable bed. Slow room service. Friendly, but slow and entirely underwhelming service for a 'luxury accomodation' location. Cutting corners. Stingy. They charged for minor things like coffee pods and milk. Seriously for this price point you expect a lot lot more. It has left a poor taste with me for the Peppers brand and the Mantra Group. Very shabby indeed. read more

Fantastic views and clean room! We stayed in a suite on the 10th floor and enjoyed the majestic vista of the lake in Queenstown. A short walk to town for Ferg Burger for lunch or Vudu Cafe for breakfast. Highly recommended! read more
