It was the worst experience ever. I will not be back! My 7 year old daughter and I went into perfect look to get a haircut. I can't remember the blond ladies name. However, as she was cutting my hair, all she would talk about was her at home saloon and how she is trying to start up a hair saloon in her home so she can work from home and dont ever have to leave. It felt more like a sales talk to invite me into her home for haircuts. I found her to be very unprofessional. Then my 7 year old daughter is extremely upset. This woman didn't listen to how she wanted her hair cut. She basically cute it the way she wanted to cut it rather than what we wanted. Another thing, I didn't like the way she was talking to my daughter as she was cutting her hair. Towards the end of our haircut, I was starting to wonder if this woman was not on some kind of drugs. I made an appt with a certain girl by name, we came for our appt & she left for the day, we already drove about an hour for our appt so we hoped for the best with the lady there who was caring for her toddler while while working as well as having visitors during our appt. She titally mangled my childs hair, i was very specific with the requests & i just gave up cause i still wanted to leave with hair on my childs head. I paid for the hair cut & came home and tried to fix it the best i could. This has been by far the worst hair experience we have had. Took our kids for back to school haircuts on the beach as something special for their vacation the gentleman and their gave my son a good Barber Shop style fade the lady with the animal print tattoos was asked to give my youngest son a hairstyle identical to my older son's instead she shaved it bald and said it looks good to her and the bigger gal gave my daughter the most uneven haircut I've seen in my entire life so bad that she was asked several times who gave her the chop job. I had my hair cut short, dyed, and then highlights added. It cost about $80 more than it does ANYWHERE else. If my hair is parted in the middle, you can see the highlights. That's it. EVERYWHERE else they don't show. I asked for an edgy hair cut. I got a long bob. There's no edge to it, it's dull to say the least. She did it with a razor, but didn't do different lengths or anything, so I guess the style in which she cut the hair was 'edgy'. I'm a female in my 30's and I'd say AVOID! Go to Portland if you have to to get a decent cut, professionally this place will get you nowhere.. However... While I was there, several little boys came in and got their hair cut by a blonde girl with pink dye in her hair, and she did a great job giving and keeping styles as needed. The boys looked hip, their cuts were fresh. If u can get that girl, might be worth a try .. price gouging aside. read more

Went during their customer appreciation sale/promo ($8.95/cut). It did the job for a guy's cut, looked good (lots of straggler hairs though), was quick, but no rinse, lots of stray hairs on my clothes, and was just generally average. I would recommend for any simple cut as a cheap option in LC, as there aren't many, but would NOT consider making it a regular place for cuts... instead, I'd recommend Sara at Running with Scissors in Eugene (see my review for it). Pros: +Cheap +decent hair cut (easy style for guys though) - Looked good +quick (no appointments and only waited 10 minutes) Cons: -Lots of hair on my clothes afterwards (wasn't thorough in brushing it off) -No rinse or shampoo afterwards (wasn't asked) -- leaving lots of trimmed hair around my neck, face, shoulders, and head ... a pet peeve of mine. -Not a look of attention to detail, when I went home, I had to spot trim about half of the top of my head with hairs that were missed and were stragglers. Overall: Very average, very ordinary, but cheap, quick, and did look good (not great). I would go back if I had to, but I don't live in this area, so I can luckily go elsewhere if I want (and recommend you do the same if you can)! read more

Her hair looks awful, and is SO damaged!!! You should not be allowed to offer services you are horrible at. My friend had been in tears since she left Perfect Look. I have been a customer of this Perfect look for ten or eleven years. I go here due to the come sit down and will serve you soonest business model. Along with a pretty decent haircut at a fair price Two months ago I went to get a haircut and was dealt with rudely by the hair stylist. Whom insisted I enter my full name phone number, email address, age sex and probably wanted to get a permission slip from my mom. The computer terminal for the customers has been in the shop for a very long time, which I only needed to add my first name in the past. Flash forward to today I was rudely greeted by the same hair stylist (my bad luck). Once again she insisted to add all my personal data into the Perfect Look database. This time I decided not to have this rude person touch me. This time I decided not to interact with the hair stylist in a negative fashion, and this was my last time through the door. If you want your private data placed in a marketing database and be treated poorly, this is the business for you read more

Went to Perfect Look in Lincoln City, Oregon for first time last week. The stylist, Nicole R., and her co-worker Trish worked in tandem to give my stick straight hair some body with a perm. I'm 60 yrs old and these gals did a fantastic job!! Prices reasonable and getting in was fast, I'd highly recommend this location to anyone in area looking for a decent stylist that won't bust your budget!! First we found the store closed at 2:30 in the afternoon. Post-it note on door says "Back at 3:00". One staff member finally shows up at 3:15.... no apology... no explanation. There is cut hair all over the floor and several chairs. One lady who showed up at 2:55 inexplicably gets selected as first customer. She takes more about an half hour on her. Finally we get service at 3:45 and at 4:00 we're done. It took 90 minutes to get a haircut in the middle of the day. The hair was still all over the floor when we left. read more

Let me start off with I'm no fan of this company both here in Lincoln City nor Newport. But I swear it's for their lousy attitudes to customers and poor management--nothing else. This is officially the last time I ever go into either location. Yesterday I had a very heavy dark haired haircut professional with a very short fuse and lousy attitude hack my hair. She asked what the last person used to cut my hair size piece was and we determined it was an #8. Then she put that guard size on the clippers and in less than 5-7 minutes, my haircut was done and was on her way to the register to collect my $19.95. The part that was full of sassy attitude was the interrogation about my full name. I'm sorry, i just don't understand why you can't just get a haircut when your the only person in the building and who cares why my full name is? She told me it was a state law???? Anyway, i told her my first name and it wasn't enough for her. So i made up a last name and it visibly pissed her off. Then i got lucky enough to get a haircut from this pissed off woman. Oh boy! Regardless of the state law, i've decided that i was not ever doing this place again. I realize that it may seem trivial about the full name thing, but I guess I expected someone in the biz A VERY LONG TIME, to be understanding. Final note, it is one of the worst haircuts i've ever got. The sides are visibly uneven and the hair is over my ear on one side. To top off the lousy haircut, she would strike the back of my head every single time the clippers went up for a cut. Hard enough to loose her grip more than once. I did ask for a style that was pictured, what I got was nothing like that style. The manager of the shop cut my hair leaving a large spot with NO HAIR on the back of my head. The district manager called me at home to hear what happened, she proceeded to tell me she would give my money back but also said " do not ever come back". So I was disfigured and told not to return. I went to get my hair cut the other day and from the moment I walked in the door it was not a good experience. I was greeted by a "you need to sign in on the tablet" no real hello or anything. I said that I wanted to get my hair cut and so she sat me down and just started cutting my hair and didn't ask how short or how much I wanted cut off. I had an idea of something that I'd wanted to try but felt like me being there was an imposition and that I was bothering her. She cut some off and then kind of did my bangs, and that point she asked if there was anything else but like I said earlier I felt unwelcome and so just decided to get the basic cut done and leave. It says its under new management, so I probably will be going somewhere else from now on because this type of service, especially when someone is cutting your hair is unacceptable. read more

Unfortunately my first visit to this salon was not good, but they did everything and then some to correct the issue. I went in for a color and did my consultation with Jeannie. As luck would have it the district manager was there and over heard everything. I requested to have my roots done and the brassiness underneath blended to match my blonde. I also asked to not have the blonde touched as I was happy with my color, I just needed roots and some of the underside blended a shade or two darker. Jeannie seemed to understand. When I went back for my appointment, my hair was colored full head, she did a lot of pulling and tugging on my hair, because it was not brushed out first. I left with a greenish gray color on my ends and my roots were more brassy then when I walked in, completely two severely different colors from top compared to bottom, my hair was also falling out and the other stylist commented as I was walking out that "I keep finding your hair all over the floor" I was then told it would be $200.00 for the color. I also asked to not have it styled since I had to shower when I got home. I was handed a blow dryer and the other hair dresser felt bad my hair was so knotted up she gave me some detangler. Jeannie saw I was unhappy and told me she could get the price down to 170.00 I had to drive home to get the remaining $30.00 because based on my experience a root touch up is never that much and I did not have enough on me. I called corporate the next day and explained how unhappy I was. The same district manager(Yvonne) that over heard the consult called me within minutes of hanging up with corporate. She got me in the very next day, had Theresa remove the green gray color back to my original blonde, Theresa is a true professional and could not have done a better job, and did it with a smile on her face , explaining every step in what she was doing. Theresa also gave me a bottle of special shampoo and conditioner to ensure the care of my hair (there was quite a bit of frizz from all the color and removing of color). She blew out my hair and was very careful when combing it out and was quite concerned with my satisfaction,I felt she really cared. I was promised 4 additional free visits to condition my hair and to get the roots done the way I had originally requested. I am very appreciative Theresa did not try to get everything done in one visit because my hair needed a break! In the end I feel the staff went above and beyond to ensure I was happy and I not only found a new colorist with Theresa but I feel I have found friends in both Yvonne and Theresa!
