If you're looking for quick, easy and hassle free eyebrow services, then this is the place for you. Tired of always filling my eyebrows, but too scared to (drop the big bucks) try microblading, I opted to try an eyebrow tint. A coworker had just gotten her eyebrow tint done after threading, and I thought it was a quick solution to me being lazy in the mornings. I made an appointment for my lunch hour, but when I arrived, it was quiet and empty. Reena took me to thread my brows first. I've got to say, it was less painful than where I usually go in Queens. She then asked me what color I wanted to do for my tinting. I told her I was going to get my hair colored in two weeks so the darker the brown, the better. After she applied the tint, I waited for about ten minutes until she came back to wipe off the excess tint. After looking at the finished results, it looks a bit odd upclose but they look perfectly fine from a distance. The reason being is because I've overplucked when I was much younger, so my brows aren't straight. I was happy with how quick and easy the service was. I would return again. read more

Perfect Look Threading Salon was conveniently located near my interview so I decided to go for a quick eyebrow and upper lip thread. Not sure if it's the specific thread, the salon used, but the skin near my eyebrows and upper lip turned red with hives. The redness and hives eventually went away, but undoubtedly was painful. The thread also broke multiple times during the session, hitting my skin and causing me pain. My technician was nice and kind, but did not apologize for the matter. It's been less than a week since I got my hair threaded but now I notice my hair regrowth is so much quicker, particularly surrounding my lip area. The ends of my hair look a lot more blunt than fair, which I suppose that my technician did not pull my hair directly from its root. I am not satisfied with this service and the results and will never come back. I had better threading experiences elsewhere. read more

I come here quite frequently to get my eyebrows done and it's pretty good. The prices are good, much more reasonable than some of the other ones around. Quick service, quiet ladies, always have music playing. They use chocolate wax which is interesting but I don't mind it. I personally feel like the hair around my eyebrows grows back more quickly than it used to when I visited another salon. Not quite sure why. I have been coming here when they were located next to Wendy's on 33rd and 5th Ave! Initially when I was getting a hang of having my brows threaded, I did not have a preferred person but overtime, I noticed Saru does my brows best and have been following this location and requesting her specficially every time I go. She is great, detailed and spends time to make your brows the way you like it. there are times when I would ask her to shape my brows because my brows grow out super fast and I do not maintain them well and she does a great job. She doesnt take out my brows so that it becomes short like what others would make them to be. she knows to leave pieces so that my brows can look lengthy as I want them to be. Fast, affordable, and efficient! Can't complain with the service and price. The staff always greet me at the door and make sure I'm comfortable during the session. I've been to about 3-4 threading salons in NYC and this place by far is my favorite. I've seen cheaper places but I'm willing to pay a few dollars more to come here. The service here is great! The women (and maybe men?) here have the gentlest hands and really pay attention to what you're looking for. Sometimes I go in for a cleanup and other times, like today, I ask for my brows to be shaped a certain way. You can also ask them what they think would look good on you! I usually don't put on aloe after because I've broken out once from the gel but I hear it's soothing and helps reduce the redness and small bumps. They accept card and give out stamps. Reach 10 and you get free threading on your next visit. read more

I got my eyebrows done and the lady took a chunk out of the bottom part of one of my eyebrows. I was alarmed when I looked in the mirror and she claimed it was like that before I got it done even after I showed her a picture of what it looked like before. I did not have a visible gap on my eyebrow. She offered free tinting to fix it but continued to deny that she made a mistake. I trusted her to do a simple clean up before I head on vacation and now I will have to buy a pencil to try to cover the gap. I went on a recommendation by a friend and I'm glad I did! My eyebrows had not seen some thread in probably almost a year. I was starting to feel like I had some bushy caterpillar sitting atop by eyes. It was time. I made an appointment via Yelp, with a super fast response. The location is pretty convenient for me--i work 6 blocks from the salon so it was an easy walk right up Madison Ave. It's on the second floor, and I don't recall seeing an elevator. The salon itself is small, but cozy and clean, well lit. Two customers were already being helped, but there was a chair open for one more. The woman who worked with me paced herself well, considering I had a lot of growth on my brows. She took her time, which I appreciate. She was mindful of the shape and also of the weird patch I have going on, on my right brow. When she was done, I felt like a new woman! $7 for brows, at an easy to reach location (close to 6 train and quick walk to Herald Square) and only 15 minutes walking from my job? Coming to Perfect Look reminds me of going to Little India in Singapore to get my brows threaded. No-frills, little communication, and yet they give you a classic, polished look. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, and there was no one in the shop except for one threader. I told her I wanted my eyebrows and my upper lip threaded and that was all I said. She didn't ask me what kind of eyebrows I wanted, neither did I tell her. The shop is startlingly bright and looked very clean. My threader seemed meticulous with my brows, going back and forth and adding final touches. I was lured to this salon by the amazing Yelp reviews and quite frankly my experience was very far from 5 stars. I walked in there for the first time to thread my eyebrows and was directed to a lady (that refused to give me her name). I asked her to 'clean' my eyebrows respecting the shape and she literally took chunks from different places, shortening shortening my eyebrows irregularely to horrible results. It seems like she was practicing with me and had no clue of what she was doing. When I complained to the owner, she attempted to fix the horror (while instructing my technician along the way in Indian) but it was way too late. She did what she could and ended up giving me castor oil to 'regrow' my eyebrows. My mistake was walking into this place and trusting that it was going to be great in spite of the disgraceful looking eyebrows of the lady that worked on mine. I suggest that you be very careful with who does your brows at this place (specially if you are new like me) and stick to the ones you know so you dont end up putting castor oil on your eyebrows. After threading my eyebrows for almost 8 years in different salons both in NY and Miami I can definetely say that this is by far my worst experience ever! read more

For many years I have been a supporter of Unique Threading Salon, in particular the location on 24th and 6th (most recently moved to 23rd & 5th). There was only one person allowed to touch my eyebrows; Jigna. We built a very good relationship and she just understood my brows and how I wanted them. It has been almost 6 months since I have seen her because she is no longer with the company. I let some other girls at Unique try their talents but no one held a candle to Jigna. I decided it was time to move on but to where was the question. With a little bit of yelp homework I came across Perfect Look Threading Salon. It seemed as though no bad review could exist for this place. Based on the reviews everyone (no matter who you saw) knew how to thread eyebrows and make you look good. I have been growing my eyebrows back in for about 4 months (because of a horrible experience somewhere else). I took a long time looking up and reading reviews here on yelp ,and found this place near my job. I have to say, Riya does a very nice job with threading ($7). She listens to you when you have suggestions or if you have questions she is very patient and answers you. She is gentle, and her precision is very exact. I also had my eye brows tinted the same day (10$). But because I wear makeup, I didn't find this to work well for me. As soon as I was done, my brows were slightly darker, not much darker as I had hoped, since the end of my brows are more sporadic and thin it really didn't do the job. Unfortunately, it was a waste of money to tint them for me. I wouldn't recommend tinting them to any of my friends who wear makeup its very light to begin with and fades quickly after washing your face every night. read more

What's not to like for the price? The lady who did my eyebrows worked on them slowly and diligently, and best of all, she LISTENED to what I wanted. My left eyebrow is growing out so she made sure to work around that and left the areas that need to grow in more.
