Our venue already provided catering and bar services so we elected to do the day-of-wedding planning package. We were planning from NorCal which made it challenging in many ways. Jen had several check in's with us over the months and was extremely responsive via e-mail when we requested assistance, such as needed recommendations for late night snacks. She knew all the best vendors in the area so we felt reassured with our vendor line up with her green light. We were also grateful that she was flexible with our tight schedules when we drove down to SoCal. I was a cricut bride and I had A LOT of DIY decor and activity ideas. Jenny was always encouraging yet realistic. She knew or would figure out how to best execute my vision and always had a back up plan which made me feel so secure about trusting her with creating our vision for our big day. Cassie and Gil had such warm, inviting personalities, and after the intro meeting we had with them to discuss everything we wanted, we knew they were the right choice for us. Our Clarke Estate wedding got canceled twice, so Cassie and Gil offered us the Artisan Building. We were so bummed out at first because Clarke had always been our dream venue, but our wedding at the Artisan could not have been more perfect. Everything from the food to the flowers to the music was better than we could have imagined. After the wedding, everyone kept asking where the food was from because they enjoyed it so much. Since she already has a working relationship with them, they are typically equally easy to work with. 2. Especially for vendors she's familiar with, she can quickly follow up with them, staying in the loop when we have questions and sharing her own experiences and suggestions from working with previous couples. 3. She understands Chinese/Taiwanese traditions, which made it a lot easier to us to work with her since we needed to preemptively identify pain points and important unique to our culture to avoid family headaches. 4. She had a great attitude even when our requests were vague (mainly when we aren't sure of what the exact solution is and only have a rough vision/idea of what we want) 5. She handled day-of stressful situations with grace and had great backup plans ready when things went wrong. 6. Despite being busy, she is very responsive when we need her. My suggestion for couples (in general when working with any wedding planner) is to be proactive and do your due diligence with vendors and the wedding vision.
