I've been to the Chandler location and the Tempe location. Each one has its own vibe but the same recipes. The recipes are tasty and they offer good portions. I had their sangria. It was very good also their lemon pasta and their pear dessert. It's a nice restaurant version of soup salad pasta and a few other things . Service was good in both locations. I will say they do a pretty good job at being uniform with their service and quality. I have been to all the Perfect Pear Locations. They are all excellent. Today we came for happy hour. The happy hour is nice here, everyday from 11am-6pm, $2 off cocktails. Their cocktails are lovely, well balanced, not too sweet. The pear cocktails are refreshing. The soup is different everyday and all of them are excellent! Our server today, Emily, was excellent. Emily was so nice and an overall beautiful person. I have always had excellent service at Perfect Pear, at all the locations. We tried three of the different grilled cheese today, all were great. The pesto grilled cheese was my favorite! The pesto was perfect and complemented well with the rest of the sandwich. There was a mix up in the kitchen with a different order, and they had an extra Buffalo cauliflower that they were kind enough of to give us on the house. The Buffalo cauliflower is excellent! Cooked perfectly and the Buffalo is not too spicy. I will always come back here. One of my favorite spots in the Valley. Highly recommend coming here. Parking is easy onsite as well. Really great place. We were tired after hosting Thanksgiving for the family. Wanted a quiet place that had good food and no pressure. Perfect Pear Bistro was Perfect! Had a half cobb salad and mushroom soup. Very generous portion. My wife had a pesto sandwich with sweet potato fries. We shared everything. Super lax servers. Nice music. Great food. Service was a little shaky. We were a fairly large group with separate checks and there were several mistakes made on the checks. Our server seemed super overwhelmed. Met up with friends from the mid 80's!! It was so wonderful to catch up! They sat us a long the wall by the drink station. ensuring that we would get drink refills continuously. Our lunch selections ranged from salads to sandwiches to pasta. The food was spot on & everyone stated that there's was delicious! The waitresses came by enough to fill drinks, but not to the point off interrupting conversations occurring that were taking us back to happenings in the 80's. The music was great in both selection and volume. We could hear the music but we didn't have to talk over it. First time to Perfect Pear Bistro at this location. Been here before when it was a Mexican restaurant years ago. My visit was a few days before Christmas. I ordered the Philly on marbled rye and it was amazing. Ordered the chili and was very delicious. Tried the marsala and it was also incredible. Kudos to the kitchen staff. Best part about dinner was the service. I apologize for not remembering our waitress's name but she was very friendly, always with a smile. She really took care of us. We were excited to try the new location but our experience was pretty lackluster. Most of the negative sentiment is due to the poor service we received. There were 4-5 other servers walking around the area we were sitting, but our actual server was missing for most of our meal. She never checked in after dropping off our food. We had empty drink glasses for most of our meal. We finally had to flag down another server to ask for our check. The food was decent and brought out in a timely manner. The sandwiches weren't bad. Some gristle on the chicken. The things that would keep me from coming back are: 1. Lots of bread (ciabatta for my sammich) but not a lot of meat and fixings. More like a spread. 2. Three of us ate. Three sandwiches with fries and three drinks. 70 bucks including tax and tip. There are many better options if sandwiches are your goal. The salads looked good but we didn't try any. Service was average. Not special not bad. One weird thing I'll mention in case the manager reads this. I initially ordered just a glass of ice water with my meal. The water tasted like it had been either contaminated with something, the ice maker was dirty or it had been stored in one of those Home Depot plastic buckets for 3 months. I have visited this place a couple of times on my lunch break which is in the morning time when they first open --their staff are just coming in (2 to 3 servers and 1 host) Usually the host will seat me in the same section at small a booth, not segregated away from anyone else that may come in after me. That is what usually happens until today... today the staffing was the same but this time I was not the first person inside the restaurant. There were two parties of older white people already seated. At 1 small booth a party of two and at another, a party of 2 in the booth area with the 2nd of 3 booths being empty. They were both older white people, I am a dark skin black woman in my early 30s. My complaint comes from the host seating me as a party of 1 in a segregated area that can seat at least a party of six. It is to my understanding that they did this to keep me away from their regulars who are normally older white people. I felt like this was intentional so and I asked host to change my seat. Additionally, when another white party of two, entered the restaurant, the host sat them next to the other white people in the 2nd booth. Also note they do not have any Black people that work at that restaurant. If they do they must be intentionally hidden. In theory, they know who their regulars are which are old white people that are keeping them in business. I happened to not have any biases up until today. I will never support this business again. I do not encourage anybody who supports this narrative to support them either. Equality is for everyone. read more

The service was wonderful and very, but not too attentive. The manager was soooooo accommodating!! The atmosphere is terrific- we were indoors this time. They have all the best of everything- even my favorite iced tea! Been to both restaurants in the east valley- both are equally great, but I have a soft spot for the Chandler Blvd location. Prices were very reasonable- they even underestimated the gratuity for our group, and we took care of that! They've got a great patio (which I had tried another time), unlike their Tempe location, and the misters work great! Only issue with the location is the parking in that area. It's such a great atmosphere, wonderful décor, great music, and obviously their food is beyond delicious with such a wide variety of options for everyone! The staff is ALWAYS wonderful and you can tell they all really enjoy their work! Sometimes there is a wait so I always call the day before to make a reservation but even when I don't, we are sat fairly quickly! When we saw they were opening this one in Chandler we were THRILLED! Favorite salad dressing here: lime vinaigrette. Yummy, yummy, limey tummy. I love tangy flavors and this dressing is my bag. I got the salad with the strawberries and lime vinaigrette, and I think I'd enjoy this lime dressing on the pear salad too. I tried the fall salad with the butternut squash and beets once... that one was too bland for me. If they put an orange citrus dressing on it, or if the beets were pickled, it would have a well-rounded flavor. My son loves the focaccia bread here. It's soft and fluffy, has a mild sweetness and rosemary. The boy usually goes nuts for Texas Road House rolls, but says this bread is "next level." We also enjoyed the Brussels sprouts appetizer with Japanese glaze. The sprouts weren't fried into oily confetti like at some places; the sprouts were still rolly-polly rouand tender inside. read more

We went to perfect pear on a weekday and walked in about lunchtime. The hostess asked us if we had a reservation and told us it would be at least 45 minute wait that was bad enough, but the worst thing was it was so noisy in there that she had to yell just so we could hear her. I am in a wheelchair and that particular perfect pear was not wheelchair friendly at all. We could see that to get a table where I could sit we would be waiting much longer than 45 minutes. Frankly, I don't think we would've stayed if they had given us a table immediately, the noise was very offputting. read more
