Another place appealing to my inner hippy! Sadly, the only place locally that also sells Yankee…read moreCandles :( Good for them though, as it seems to bring them lots of business! An amazing range of differnt sized and scented candles, and for a fairly reasonable price. The staff there are awesome, and know what they are on about too. However they are not pushy and are very helpful. I usually fail to come away from this place with nothing! Great range, well priced and good staff. What more could you want from a candle shop? :D
Only Yankee Candle outlet in Southampton…read more Yankee Candle is an American company which specializes is candles. What is different about these candles is that unlike other fragranced candles the fragrance is all the way through the candle not just in the top layer meaning you get the small smell all the way through. The candles are not cheap however they are the nicest smelling candles I have ever smelt. The range is huge and is slit into categories Fresh and Fruit Floral and World Food and Spice and Festives. Smells include Baby Powder, Vanilla Cupcake, Egg Nog, Vanilla Lime, Country Linen, Cherry Lemonade and Granny Smith to name a few. Baby Powder is one of my favorites; it has that lovely baby smell. They also do candle parties which you can book through their website, when they will come to your house with the range. They also do car airfreshners, reeds and a variety of other 'smelly' items! Worth going in even if just to smell all the lovely candles.

There is always brilliant offers on in-store and they have a free Loyalty scheme where you build up points that then turn into vouchers to spend in store!! As their by-line suggests, this store really is 'Heaven for your Home' - I just love it! The candles and fragrances are amazing and really do smell like they say and last for ages! The gift & baby range is gorgeous - great quality and I can always find something that little bit unusual and special. Just looking at the brilliant window displays is inspriation enough! All the staff are so friendly and helpful - I love a bit of good old fashioned service! I have even had a Home Party which was great fun. They also do Private Shopping - a party in store in the evening for just you and your friends - I have booked one for later on in the year to avoid the xmas crowds!! - (now thats what i call shopping!) Definately worth a visit if you are a fan of Yankee Candles, or simply like lovely things!!

CANDLES!!! I thought to myself... What sort of shop, or late night garage would be open on a Sunday morning? Cue a google search and I found this wonderful website. Direct Candles. I immediately typed in my order, paid and within 15 minutes there was a large bang on my door. I walked down the stairs in my leopard print dressing gown, unbeknownst as to what was on the other side of the door. As I opened the door, I saw the most incredible sight. A dwarf on the back of a St Bernard with my 35 candles I had previously ordered. Nowhere else would you get such a great service.
After driving past this place countless times, I decided to investigate and see what the Candle…read moreFactory is all about. Located in a small building off Mare Street, the Candle Factory specialises in church candles and also offers regular candles in all sizes, including candles made of beeswax. Prices range between 50p and 40 pounds per candle. What makes this place special is that they also make candles to order so if you've always wanted to give that special someone a five foot high candle, this is the place to go. On a more practical note, if you are looking for a candle to fit that antique candle holder you found at a flea market, you will be likely to find it here.
This shop is amazing. When I walked in I got a fresh wave of exquisite smell. It was extraordinary.read more

Hmmm.an electic mix of lamps, modern chairs, bookshelves, end tables and cushions etc…read more I find this an odd sort of mix under one not so large roof. It's as if you walk in and magicly will find the item they stock will suit your needs or wants. No seemingly obvious choice of colours. It reminds me a bit of an expensive market, or garage sale. I prefer stores where there are colour options amd alternatives. A pleasant snoop though.
