    Two strip sammie

Man, walking into this place transported me back to my college days. It was totally a place I could have seen myself eating regularly with friends. Nice sports bar vibe with plenty of blue/orange theme, plenty of room, and plenty of TVs. I walked in around 1:30p on Tuesday; the place was pretty empty...which I preferred. There was just one other active table. Ordered the two strip sandwich and fries. Ya know...it's tough these days to find somewhere that gives your moneys worth...but this joint definitely did. I'm fairly certain those two tenders were the largest I've ever seen. It made it practically impossible to eat the meal like an actual sandwich, I had to deconstruct and get creative, but it was so good. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy. I've found a lot places shorting people on fries...but this place didn't. They gave me plenty. The only thing I was a tad disappointed in, was the length of time it took to get my order. Especially because the place was empty. I can't imagine how long it would take when they're really busy... Overall, I'd definitely go back!

We saw this place on Texas Eats on KSAT and added it to our "need to try" list of restaurants. My daughter goes to UTSA and has an apartment right around the corner, so after a visit we swung in to give it a whirl. The place itself is unassuming and is in an unassuming shopping center. It very much has a sports bar vibe- TVs, high tables, and a bar where, presumably, you could order just a beer/drink. Food orders are taken at a walk up counter where you are given a pager and off you go to find a seat. We ordered a 3-piece chicken tenders meal (medium heat) that came with fries and a tea (we also ordered a couple of beers because you can't have spicy chicken tenders without beer???). We also ordered a giant mozzarella stick. Both were delicious! The medium was plenty spicy enough for us, but they did have 3 levels hotter than that for all of you that like a little pain in your life. The tender was well brined and nice and juicy! The batter had a good texture and was covered in a dry powder medium seasoning (not "sauced"). A very good chicken tender to be clear. We know the giant mozzarella stick was a novelty, but we had to try it. It had a pretty thick batter and the cheese on the inside was well heated and had a great "cheese pull". It was served with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. It did taste the same as little cheese sticks, hence my referral of the "novelty" of the size. I would try it again, but perhaps get the "hot Cheetos" version next time which comes covered in (presumably) crushed hot Cheetos. All in all, a very fun place to try! Not upset at our lunch choice at all- if in the area...check them out!

I was recommended to this place from my bf's friend! we love chicken tenders so we said hell yeah! decked out in UTSA colors, the environment is super sporty and very cool. Went on a rainy friday afternoon, we knew what we wanted to get prior. got the 3pc tender combo with fries and a drink. got ranch and honey mustard on the side. This is chicken tenders right here yall! absolutely delicious, no complaints! chips and queso were delicious, the chips were homemade. Great selection of beers and they had white claw so i was a happy camper.

First, the service was great! You go to the counter to put in your order. There is a large menu hanging and also pamplet menus. We ordered the Bird's Nest, 8 pc wing (garlic parm), 3 pc tender and Waffles and the Chicken & Waffle Sando. Let me tell you! That Sandwich was sooo big! All the portions were huge. The food was perfect...I'm not kidding y'all...PERFECT! I like my fries a little crunchy so they don't get soggy with the cheese and sauce on top. The bird's nest was ! It was pretty chill in the place. There is music playing with multiple tvs going. It wasn't rowdy or anything which I love since we had our 8 yr old with us. We will be coming back! Loved everything about this spot. P.S. The restrooms were clean clean.

Hot Cheeto dusted mozzarella stick & regular mozzarella stick

This is a wonderful place for chicken! We started with the HUGE mozzarella stick (regular & hot cheeto) and then I had the chicken tenders wrap (the perfect sauce is just as described-perfect). My companion had the chicken & waffle sando. It had crispy & juicy chicken with a fluffy & flavor-filled waffle. The spice levels are spot on. The portion sizes were huge-in a good way. We had lots of leftovers. There are TV's lining the walls playing football today. They must have NFL Sunday ticket. Elena was so nice and informative about all the food.

My husband's coworker recommended this place so we decided to try it! It's a very casual sports "bar" but pretty family friendly in my opinion. We saw plenty of families with kids. They're known for their oversized mozzarella stick and perfect hot chicken tenders (hence the business name). However, they do also serve wings and other appetizers. My husband and I both order hot chicken tenders (medium hot). I had the 2 piece, he had the 3 piece combo. We also shared fried pickle spears and fried mushrooms. The chicken tender combo comes with a piece of Texas toast, crinkle fries, sauce, and drink. Overall food was good. The tenders were so moist and seasoning was good! Service was excellent! We even got a chance to talk to Chris, the manager. He's awesome! There's indoor and outdoor seating. So many tv.'s for sports (duh) lol and even some "arcade" (basketball) games!! Really fun ambiance, aesthetic and vibe!

I immediately fell in love with this place and need to make a mental note to try the sandwich made with chicken and waffles, which sounds amazing. We had the giant mozzarella stick, and one of the loaded fries options. Awesome, not greasy or unpleasant, and the sauce was so good. The restaurant itself was spacious and clean and easygoing. The one slight complaint I have is that it was a little bit slow even during lunchtime when there were only one or two other customers, but otherwise, a great spot!

    Cheese log with marinara sauce

I was briefly in San Antonio and wanted to try a local spot. My sister and I stopped by here. We came some time between lunch and dinner, so the crowd definitely was not there. That's a good thing. The place has the sports bar vibe going for it. It didn't take long to order and our food came over fairly quick. As for the food: - We had a HUGE cheese log for an appetizer, however it was a bit bland. - Did not try the marinara sauce because I don't care for it - Fries were a bit too salty - My chicken wings were dry - Chicken tenders were moist and seasoned well Overall, it was decently good. I'd probably come back and order the chicken tenders instead of the wings because they were delicious.

Chicken is very juicy, the cheese stick is super flavorful. Marina and buffalo sauce were delicious. Ordered the tenders with FAFO and Hot flavors. Unaware they were DRY rubs. Have never been a fan of dry rubs. They were hot but had the gritty dry rub feel. I ended up dipping them in the Buffalo sauce to add flavor, which did the trick. Had to sign a waiver to get the FAFO. Guess i should have read the paper, maybe thats where it stated it was a dry rub. Definitely get the cheese stick: its HUGE!!! Service was good, you have to order at the counter and go sit down and they bring the food out to you. Ill be back but as a Buffalonian, ill stick to actual wings and Buffalo sauce with blue cheese and my c&c on the side.

Place was very vibrant..... place was empty for being a Sunday night. This isn't a very family friendly place. Anyways on to the food, it was pretty good! I got the hot and it was perfectly hot and very spicy. The golden flavor which is plain was also pretty good. Chicken was juicy and had a good crunch. Fries were average but were also fried to perfection. The food was good I just don't see myself returning due to the price and ambience. I don't think 6 tenders some fries and two small drinks are worth nearly $50.... Over all the food was solid and if I was looking to get drunk and yell at a screen I'd come here again.

Delicious chicken! We went in early on a Friday evening. The service was good and pretty quick. The food was really fresh and so good! The chicken and waffles were amazing! It's huge portions too! The area is nice with lots of seating.

First for the atmosphere, it's a really nice environment during the day and most weeknights but weekends it's very loud and lively. Which is fine, but it is advertised as a speakeasy, but I would say its more of a loud bar vibe on weekend evenings. For service, it's generally pretty fast! You can order either at the bar or they can come to you. We usually prefer grabbing a seat if we can and order through a server. Definitely reccomend that but you might have to come a bit earlier if it's a weekend evenings. Servers are usually nice and helpful. In terms of the drinks they are great but I'll say you have to be very specific of what you like. I'm pretty straight forward so usually get a Moscow mule, mojito, or their kiwi express! All are awesome! However, I did ask if they could do a porn star martini. Passion fruit, liqueur, not too hard I thought... but they couldn't make it. I asked if they could just make me something w passion fruit instead and was told I could not. Very odd and usually they will make me a drink if I ask for it. Overall I think this is a fun place to go for a weeknight drink w friends or a bigger crowd for a livelier atmosphere for the weekend. I wouldn't deviate from the menu- they have plenty of options. You'll see us again! Thanks rock and rye!

We did not have reservations and went knowing this. The hostess said it was a like 45 minutes to an hour wait. With being mothers day and all, we expected it. However they had a spritzer cart outside for the waiting patrons! Fantastic idea! It was warm but not too terribly hot when we arrived so we opted to brief look at their desserts and then went outside to a couple of tables. We then went to the spritzer cart and ordered a few drinks and it hi perfectly with the sunny weather. And after finishing the drink our table was pretty much ready. It was not even 30 minutes in waiting. Probably 20 minutes. We were sat at two round tables near the bar which was ok, but our daughter has a boot on for her foot but she managed ok. We weren't expecting that but it was ok. They didn't know. We were greeted by our server and promptly got our drink orders and all our food order. What we did was view the menu beforehand. We ordered three appetizers. The meatball ferris wheel, the grilled octopus, and Nonna's garlic bread. The drinks were all delish! The first app that came out was the garlic bread. I have to say is the absolute star of the food here. If you are here, please order it. It's the thing to have. And the butter that comes with it just elevated it to another level. It's that good. Actually better than the entrees in my opinion. The next was the meatball ferris wheel. This showcase the flavors of the entrees for me. It was indeed fun to see. Each meatball was really good and they didn't skimp on the meatballs here. It was very good and the temperature was perfect. The last was the grilled octopus. It was super tender and the sauce was good but we learned they used spicy peppers a lot in their dishes to bring out the flavors. This was the beginning and it was a solid level 1 of 5 of spice level. If you are not into spicy dishes they foreshadows a majority of the entrees here. The grilled octopus was great. And the potatoes go with it perfectly. For our meals, I got the spaghetti and red clam sauce which is spicy. My wife ordered the risotto pescatore, which is a seafood dish, and my daughter got the pork chop my way and she had it Parmesan style. The risotto pescatore came out first and it is supposedly spicy but because none of my family does spicy like me, the sis not as the peppers in the dish. And because of that, the dish tasted kind of bland and only tasted the seafood mixed together. Not bad but was unsatisfying unfortunately. So it's not the fault of the kitchen or chef. It's not made as listed so it will not really taste how it's supposed to m the server and manager pretty much came by and address the issue even though it's no fault of their own. They did offer her a side spaghetti l, which is more than enough at this point, because of all the appetizers we has filled up on. My spaghetti and red clam sauce was actually really good. I could taste the pasta being made in house. The clams with the spicy sauce was great and satisfying. The pork chop. It was just big. I mean hanging over the plate large. Our server and another server said it is big but that was the biggest pork chop they've ever seen come out of the kitchen. It was hilarious. But it tasted so good. Think chicken fried steak but pork chop. And it was delicious as well. Just too much for one person. Especially after all the appetizers! Dessert was the special they had for mother's day weekend. It was a raspberry tiramisu and it was so creamy and smooth. It was one of the better desserts I've had in a while. I also had a cappuccino and they was perfect as well. A great ending to to meal. We haven't eaten that much in a long time. The drinks and appetizers are spectacular. The entrees are good but not the stars of the show for us. But we enjoyed the food journey here!

One of the standout moments was the appetizers, especially the meatballs Ferris wheel -- a unique presentation that immediately sets the tone for the meal. It's playful, shareable, and surprisingly well-executed. The fresh pasta is another highlight. You can taste the quality in every bite, and the build-your-own pasta option is a great twist that lets you customize your dish without losing that traditional Italian foundation. It feels both familiar and inventive at the same time. Overall, this is a strong new addition to the San Antonio Italian scene. Great for groups, date nights, or anyone looking for something a little different while still getting solid, comforting Italian food done right.
