They examined the car thoroughly, took their time, ran through multiple tests and when they found nothing wrong, they sent me on my way. I guess they're either scammers or literally don't know how to price labor for anything. I went in for an alignment since I had no choice to because I don't have the machine for it. So by curiosity I asked them a price for a tune up and etc. all they said I needed was spark plugs. they were going to charge me $500 total for labor and cost of spark plugs on top of the 160$ I already paid for the alignment. It's ridiculous pricing. If anyone can get a family member to do simple work or a mobile mechanic to do simple work like spark plugs and brakes. Pay them instead. These guys try to scam people that they feel don't know anything about cars. The front desk guy Mike should check his pricing for things. Or at least know what he's talking about since the car I had at the moment needed way more work done than just spark plugs read more

My battery had been replaced recently, but my car was shutting off while idling! Called Performance Auto, Tony asked some questions, said to bring it in and they'll add it to their queue. After dropping it off, they called me 30 minutes later to let me know that my engine's sensors needed to be "relearned" after the battery replacement. They only charged me for the base diagnostic fee of $95 (which is rolled into repair cost if it goes over that). Wow! An incredibly reliable shop with zero hidden or costly agenda. I brought in my 71 Chevelle for some emergency suspension care after a long cross country journey. Every shop in North county was booked for 3-6 months, but Sammy and his team were welcoming despite their own line of pending jobs. They gave my sexy chev a place to crash (with security) and through the entire process it was friendly, responsive and transparent; trifecta that is hard to find in most shops. I had a new set of tires installed on Saturday and wanted to get an alignment done but most of the auto mechanic shops were closed the next day. Performance Auto Care was the only shop that was open on Sunday. The guy at the front desk was nice and helpful. The technician who did the alignment was professional. My only issue was that I was charged an extra $115 for the removal of my after market strut bar and stock strut brace, both of which I can remove myself in less than 3 minutes. Overall great customer service but the extra charge was a bit much. read more
