Actually, I was quite surprised by how inexpensive the pastries were here compared to what I pay in Seattle, like an almond croissant for about 2 euros. Ordered an almond croissant, quiche Lorraine and a chocolate croissant, which all were amazing. I was really impressed with the quality of the baked goods. It goes to show you do not need to go to a high-brow patisserie for good pastries in France.

It wasn't necessarily mind-blowing, but was good and we were hungry. We also got a chocolate eclair which was also good but was a little bit confused that there was almost like a chocolate-mousse for the filling instead of a vanilla custard/filling. Delicious, but not sure I'd be hankering to get this particular dessert again. I'd come back here again to try more things, but don't think I'd make a special trip out of my way to come here over and over.

Best bakery in Toulouse…read more Francois Xavier - this guy can really bake. I mean seriously. I've had a lot of baked goods in France, but this place is just bomb. Take a look at the pics on the site - these are airbrushed; they're the real thing! Amazingly, they also carry some damn good, fresh & hot chocolate chip cookies, as well as glazed donuts. I just gotta get back there and hit up some of those pain au chocolat though!
