I came to know Perpy's Liempo Sisig because my uncle, a priest, loves bringing this to potluck gatherings with the family. Everyone loved him more for that. The titas loved pairing it with rice (and warning: it will make you want to eat more rice), but the boys prefer it with a cold beer. Well, everybody knows a Pinoy inuman session ain't complete without sisig.
I belong to the tita category, so I pair it with rice. It even elevated to take-out food status in our family. When my mother doesn't feel like cooking lunch or dinner, she just sends one of my brothers to buy three orders of Liempo Sisig (one order is good for one or two persons).
Their Liempo Sisig is tasty, but I like it better with a bit more seasoning. I usually add the juice of one calamansi, less than a teaspoon of soy sauce and it's perfect. Perpy's actually have two variations: the original and the spicy version, but I didn't really taste much of a difference between the two. read more
