This was the spot to go when I used to live in Pleasanton and by far is the best location to buy any liquor, besides bevmo, in this area. And it's gangsta as hell because they still carry the high school favorites like , Cisco! Perry Liquors is the best place for specialty beer in Livermore. The prices are a little high, but it's expected for the unusual selection. The owners are very nice, and will spot you a few coins if you're short $$$. Check out their wine inventory. Also a great place for lotto. read more

This is the Mecca of all Mecca's of beer selections in Northern California. I have never seen such a wide selection of available beers ANYWHERE! I counted close to 250+ plus 22oz. beers available in the refrigerator. I've recently started to appreciate well crafted beers and let me tell you , this is the place to go. They've had the freshest brewed Pliny the Elder I've ever seen in a store. It was brewed only 4 days when I bought it from here and that's pretty good. I have been back and I will be back! read more

Don't be discouraged by the appearance when you first walk in the store. Perry's is the best source of Belgian beers in Livermore, and probably the entire Tri-Valley. I do like Bev-Mo, but Perry's has a broader selection. And the beers they carry are better than most of Bev-Mo's beers. The store is a bit cluttered and some of the wine inventory looks like it has been sitting there awhile. But they have a fantastic selection of beers. I was delighted to find Saint Bernardus Abt 12 in stock. They followed up on my request and are now carrying Hair of the Dog beers. I just bought a bottle of Pliny the Elder, properly stocked in the cooler. read more

Sad to say that although they've got a good selection, it's not worth shopping there. Some stuff obviously lingers on the shelves far longer than it should. Worse is that prices, when marked, tend to be on the high side. Prices when not marked... Who knows what it costs. F**K BEVMO! Check out Perry's! They are very friendly and helpful. Yes, the store may appear slightly ghetto-ish (sort of, I mean it is LIVERMORE, not Oakland or Richmond) but they have the best selection of craft beers. I've never gotten the correct total. I have *always* been overcharged until I remind them what their prices are on the rack. The selection is very, very good. The people are friendly. I'm not accusing anyone of being willfully dishonest. Just watch yourself and check the total. Every single time they will charge full price for an item marked sale unless you point it out to them. If you're into craft beer this is where you should be shopping. From the outside they look like a liquor store but at least half their stock is craft beer! It's like walking into a beer candy store. Ok! So this place is Awesome!!! I drove out from Colorado, I tried finding hard to find local CA. beers in S.F. but got stuck in traffic on the Golden Gate on a Sunday and both City Beer and Ales Unlimited were closed. Bummer. As luck would have it I was in Livermore the following morning. I found everything I was looking for and more. 5050 Eclipse, Ale Smith, Heretic, Bruery (lots) all kinds of hard to find Special Releases. Great place, huge selection. I left my phone there after I had just purchased some stuff..I got to my place and couldn't find my phone, figured I left it in the car. Around 11pm when I went out to the car to get my phone it wasn't there, so I called it from another phone and found out I had left it at Perry's. The guy who worked at Perry's picked it up for me and held onto it, he was very nice and even met up with me at the store that night to give it back!! Very hard to find good people these days, this store has honest good people who work there and even if they didn't have their huge selection of spirits I'd probably still go just because of the moral of the employees. Best craft beer store around, better than Bevmo. I used to go out to monument wines in Concord but this store is better and has a more knowledgeable staff. Great selection of US and imported craft beers including Mikkeller, Evil Twin, Russian River, Port Brewing, The Bruery, Fantome, Jolly Pumpkin, Brew Dog, De Ranke, De Struisse, the list goes on and on. read more

Perry's Liquor has one of the best beer selections in town. Not only beer but whiskey, tobacco products and wine. It's probably my favorite place to shop. HOWEVER - They are absolutely horrible at replacing beers. I am writing this review today 10/17/2015 because I just bought a beer and it was bottled in march of 2013... And this is no beer you would age whatsoever. This is the third time this has happened to me from Perry's (shame on me for not checking before buying). The worst part is how poorly this reflects on all the breweries that stock their beers there. Maybe it's the reps faults, but either way, it's swindling both the producers and the consumers. Go there to buy some beer, I recommend it. But check the dates of everything and don't buy anything without a date on it. read more

As a resident of Livermore, BevMo has been my 1st choice for Craft Beer... until I found out about Perry's. From the moment I started down the beer aisle Harpreet said hello, and the beer talk started. He is very knowledgeable and has done a tremendous job at getting this store off the ground. Ledgers is a great store, but I've yet to find anyone in the immediate area to compete with Perry's. If you love craft beer I highly suggest you stop by here.... actually, no, don't go to Perry's... great place, great selection of beers. prices are high, sometimes stuff will be twice the price of other places in the bay, so shop around if you can. even on the liquor, some of the nicer tequillas i looked at were less than half the price online, and we are talking $275 compared to $600+, a pretty controversial markup. A year ago i would have given 5 stars, but the selection is not quite as epic now, and there isn't much that i wasn't able to find at other shops closer to my house. nice if you live in the area, but getting harder to justify the drive each time i go here. worth a stop if you are passing by on 580. read more

Imagine you have a dream that there is a store that is stocked with nearly any beer you could ever want, and then many you didnt even know could make your eyes roll back into your head in pure Hedonism. If they don't have it, and it is still available, somewhere in the world, they I'll get it. Aside from the beer, my favorite thing about this place is the staff. They have introduced me to liquid Elation. These guys have a true passion and knowledge for beer, and love to share and guide you on your next beer adventure. I've even had them save one of my favs out of the fridge for me so I can age it. Great place, sucks I'm in San Jose now! Expensive? No way, same price as bevy pretty much, but not corporate un- know it alls and A LOT more beer selection, just smaller quantities. Perry's has an excellent selection, and I've gone there for years to find rare brews that you can't get anywhere else locally. But, after having been overcharged (but caught every time) by $10-$20 for countless times, I feel I have to point out some glaring weaknesses. Beyond just flat out making numbers up at the register, they play games with the prices. Anything without a sticker, they size you up and make random numbers up. Could be $16. Could be $25...for a beer you'd pay $14 elsewhere. I guess this crap works on some people, so they keep trying it. So, this is a mixed review where I'd say GO for the great selection but keep your eyes OPEN and don't let them pull any games on you. read more

We heard about Perry's through Michelle at the Hopyard, so we decided to pop by the store. We were not disappointed. My wife loves sour ales and I love imperial stouts and IPAs, and we were both like kids in an adult candy store. The selection is great and both Harpreet and Diego are very knowledgeable about beers and love what they do. I secretly want their jobs. We left with a few awesome brews and smiles on our faces. We will definitely be back and can't wait for their bar to open. read more

I used to buy cases of pliny from this place, a year ago with friend from out of the area was visiting I went to buy pliny which was not out on the sales floor. The owner walked to the back and brought out a bottle of pliny and blind pig, I asked if I could get a few more bottles and he said it was for everybody. One time I went to buy several bottles of alpine pure hoppiness and he told me it was a 2 bottle limit, mind you I drove from work on my lunch break to buy. I sent me girlfriend there and he sells her 8 bottles. They have a good selection, however many bottles are marked up by 2 dollars or more. The last time I went there I asked him how much for RUINTEN, he asked me how much did I want to pay. I said 6.99 and he said okay, then his wife rang it up for 8.99. If selection and price gouging is your thing have at it. By the way they lost their pliny (Russian River) account, I wonder why? Actually I know the reason but it doesn't matter. Greed read more
