I only stopped in for a short while and one beer but I'm already looking forward to my next visit! I was walking down the boardwalk from Venice Beach towards Santa Monica Pier when I came across two of these little beach stands. I've been to the area before but for some reason, I'd never really took notice of Perry's. This particular day was a tourist day for me and so I strolled up, ordered a beer and sat next to the boardwalk at a table under an umbrella. I don't know if there are more than two locations here, but they are really convenient. They offer food and drinks of various types with outdoor beer garden areas where you can rest in the shade or bask in the sun right on the beach. Talk about an oasis! The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is on point. Signs point out that they are not a fast-food establishment so be prepared to wait while your food is cooked to order. For me, that just means it should be worth the wait. I live in Washington state so sadly, I can't just run on over but believe me when I say that the next time, I'm in their neighborhood, I'll be stopping in for some more delicious refreshments. Our beloved Perry's... Adore this place. It's kind of like Paradise Cove light. You still get your feet in the sand but the shoreline is a little further in the distance. There's tons of good people watching between the bike/walking paths and the volleyball courts across the way. I like the food too. They've been doing this keto bowl which is pretty good and has a fried egg on top. You order and you retrieve your food when your number is called. It's made to order but there's no wait staff. My husband loves their fries. They're a dependable go to. They did add an additional bar in the sandy seating area which was a cool touch and that offered some mixed drinks instead of just the standard canned offerings they previously offered. You can get a Bloody Mary for instance and the bartender working it was friendly. Liked this addition! Parking here is cake. You park in the beach lot or up top at one of the meters. For a low key hang out to kill an afternoon, I recommend Perry's. It's great to pop in after a nice dog walk. It is No Frills though. It doesn't get more casual than Perry's. read more

Perry's has a great location, seating is beachside which is nice, but the service is horrible. Ordered a pizza and burger together and they called our number but the order was incomplete. Only had the burger, they said it be an additional 5-10 min wait for the pizza but still did not come. Had to go back to the window to check in and I guess they forgot about the slice that was supposed to be originally included. A big shame because I was here on a beach date and had to wait while my date got to eat all his food. Portions aren't that big for the price they charge and I'm lucky he was kind enough to share his fries. A shame, came hungry and left hungry. Would NOT recommend. read more

When I work in Santa Monica, I always take my cruiser with me. After work, I'll park in Pacific Palisades and cruise to Santa Monica and Venice. I love the salt air hitting my face after working. This establishment was closed for a while and then new owners bought it. I'm so glad they did. It's a cool beach front opened area with a nice view of the beach. I love how you can take your shoes off and dig your feet in the sand while you grub on some burgers or tacos. Don't forget to wash it down with a pop or brewski! The burger cannot fit in their container so it was left face up my friend thought I bought a burger and half the guacamole ended up on the lid rather than my palette. My family and I were super hungry. We wanted to have a delicious breakfast but did not want to go to an indoors restaurant or spend a lot of money. And as we walked down the beautiful ocean wave we stumbled upon a clean spot with sand and chairs and umbrella's so we decided to get water and eat. We ordered eggs bacon and hashbrowns for breakfast currently if you order they were about 1495 each plate. That is a little bit cheaper than what the restaurants were charging at about $20 a plate and we were not locked into a busy hustle and bustle restaurant. I was extremely impressed with their eco-friendly plates and straws. It's really nice when companies on the beach use environmentally friendly packaging. They had several items listed for happy hour for a reasonable price they also had coffee breakfast lunch items and some alcoholic items and a place where you can sit down and drink them. I definitely recommend this little spot on the beach because it is a good price it's really good for kids and it's outdoors in on the sand so you don't have to miss out on the beautiful view of the Santa Monica beach. read more

First of all, if you want to dine at Perry's, you have to pay $10 for parking no matter if you're there for an hour or 10 hours. Second of all, the service wasn't great. The workers who were public facing weren't friendly. It took 30 minutes for me to get my tuna sandwich. The price was about $26 which I guess for a sandwich and a soda is normal in Los Angeles. But at the very end I went to go get a refill of my starry, and they said sorry no refills. So all in all wasn't a great experience and I will not be coming back! read more

I had to wait 1 hour to rent a surfboard and wetsuit because they were not done setting up by the time they opened and the equipment was very poor quality. Came here on a Tuesday morning at 9:30 am, which is when they open, with a friend who wanted to surf for the first time. I went up to one of the employees and told them we wanted to rent equipment for surfing. They told me they were still setting up and it would take about 30 minutes until they could rent out the equipment. This was shocking to me because there were no other customers, but I begrudgingly waited because I did not know of any other surf rental spots around. 30 minutes later, I asked again, and they were still setting up and told me it would be another 20 minutes. I was already at the end of my patience but my friend did not want to cause a scene. Finally, after waiting an hour, they opened the rental room. It took them 5 minutes to write down my friend's name and pay for the rental. Why did we have to wait 1 hour for them to set up when it only took us 5 minutes to rent!? Terrible service. Not only that, but they just showed us the disorganized equipment and told us to grab what we needed. The wetsuits were all tattered and not in order of size. My friend had to try on 4 different wetsuits before finding one that fit her (and if you've ever worn a wetsuit, you know that those things are hard to put on and take off). They only had a few foam surfboards, and the outer layer was broken on many of them where the foam is exposed. Don't waste your time renting anything for surfing here. Their rental equipment is damaged and the service is awful. read more

Variety of beverages including beer, wine or premixed drinks. Pizza takes a longer while but worth the wait. Flavorful and I usually pair it with a salad. The staff is always extremely busy so it's always go go. The seating is first come basis. So there's always lots going on. Oh the music background is always a plus. It was just a little after 4pm on Friday, new year weekend. . After being ignored for a few minutes, the Hispanic woman cashier finally came to help me. I asked her if there was any pizza slices for my hungry kids and she said no bc it was slow. I had a horrible experience. So me and my friend both wanted a caramel latte which was $6.75+tax. However, what they gave us was iced latte with no syrup into it. We went back and told her that we ordered "caramel latte" so all we wanted was to add syrup into what we have but the cashier (she) said that we have to add $1.50 for extra syrup even though what we paid for was iced caramel latte that included syrup into the price. The price of just cafe latte was $5.85 or $5.95 so we explained that the I, as a customer, $0.80 difference was the syrup price. Then she told us that in the system they do not have caramel latte option in the system. She brought old menu and explained us that she charged us for iced caramel blended latte (this menu has completely different prices than those on the menu board available to us) since they do not have iced caramel latte in the system, but in the menu board they had caramel latte so that what we ordered and what we paid for. Then she told us that she will make an exception today for us to add syrup then she took the drink and dumped the old ones and completely remade the coffees. This cost the store way more than it would if she would have just added the syrup that we ALREADY PAID FOR. Bottom line is that we paid for a horrible small $7 coffee. It's a cozy little spot that's just right. And then, there's Stacy, the cafe's secret weapon, who knows a thing or two about pleasing a veggie gal like me! She helped me order veggie tacos without breaking a sweat! So I asked for fish tacos, but she winked and made veggie tacos instead (which she charged me the price of fish tacos because obviously they didn't have a veggie taco option on their tablet!)
