Stopped in here after leaving another restaurant because I couldn't order. The place was busy on a Saturday night, but they were able to accommodate me. Ordered the burger and mac and cheese with blue cheese. The burger was very tasty, but wasn't crazy about the mac and cheese, even though I like blue cheese. I would give this place 3.5 stars because of the service. The woman behind the counter was really nice and didn't fault me for not speaking any French. She served me a beer while I was waiting and then took my order right away. If I was in town longer, I would want to come by here again since I really appreciated the service. read more

I have not yet had the pleasure of testing the restaurant part of Persile, so my review is based on the butchershop. My review comes a little late, but as they say, better late than never :) I ordered my Thanksgiving day turkey through them last year and was very pleased with my experience. Super young, fun, friendly, and most of all helpful staff. The owner went out of his way to look up cooking instructions for turkeys for me and email me them. It's all the small details that make the difference. I think it's also pretty cool that the staff can easily be contacted via Facebook. Voila, I just need to start cooking more often so I can come back here again! A very welcome addition to the neighborhood in the 13eme. read more

Nice butcher shop and restaurant -- more casual than the traditional stuffy steakhouse but great meat and prepared well. It is interesting how each country's butchers prepare slightly different cuts of steak, and I think the French style might be the best. read more

When visiting Paris from the US, it is great to find a friendly place that not only provides great service but the food is excellent! This was my wife and my first taste of a French-style butcher and the guys and gals that run this place can cook too! My wife had a burger and I had the butcher's choice of meats. Both were better than what we expected and quite possibly better than most of what we have back home! Locally sourced and served with great care and skill, I want to see this restaurant become a mainstay in Paris and hopefully the US too! read more

Hard to find, it is down the stairs, but burgers are on point. The smokes tartare was cut too large, but the local beers were good. We had a Yelp offer for free dessert, but the bacon brownie the staff raved about was strange. Instead of crispy American bacon, it is softly cooked French lardon in a very dense chocolate brownie. read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Just looking at the pictures again brings back…read morememories of the best savory bakery items that I have ever had. We went here almost every morning and the cheese is just to die for, the coffee is rich, unlike anything in the U.S. The French take so much pride in their sourcing of cheese, dairy, meat and coffee. It was divine, it is a must if you can go by here...you will rave about it for along time. Try the spinach cheese one or anyone shown in my picture and enjoy a piece of heaven!
