The artwork primarily focuses on the ocean landscapes, Still life, and Abstract work along with wildlife local to the Charleston area. Some beautiful work here. They also have some unusual modern pieces of artwork that are not entirely my style but interesting all the same. So, the reason for the three stars.. This artwork is outrageously expensive, which is unfortunate for the average person interested in supporting local people and their work. However, it's just my opinion. Pretty simple small gallery, most of the artwork is from the area with local artists gathered from what I saw and they were wonderful pieces. If I had more cash I would think of getting one, but you know maybe in the future. The shop attendant was talking to someone, so we didn't really bother to ask questions and really get to know the place but I thought the gallery was pretty neat.

I've been at various hours and days and have been fortunate to see one or two artists in their studios at work. They're always so kind and open to you being there to watch and ask questions. If you're looking for an opportunity to stop by I recommend going on the first Friday of the month (5-8p) during the art walk. RLS, along with many other galleries, will be open to the public and have wine tastings. It's a great social event where you can meet with the locals and artists.

Through the front door- you will find a bright gallery space filled with numerous forms of art and gorgeous canvases. The treat was the side door leading to the garden. I was mesmerized!
