There's a restaurant area, bar, arcade and American Pool upstairs. So, in general there's something to keep all ages engaged. Parties can be booked here too, so don't be surprised to find a whole load of balloons and excited kids if you go at the weekend! They usually have offers available during the holidays, although it gets very busy at this time. Generally, the more games you play, the cheaper it is. There is also a "Munch and Play" deal where you can eat from the grill and bowl (although not simultaneously!) for £13.50 for adults. It's a fun-day out for the family, especially when it's too cold to be outdoors!

Bowlplex (Broadway Complex) is situated just before you get to Hagley Road and just after the big six ways roundabout near Broad Street. Bowlplex is a great place to take kids if you have any because of the fun factor. It's a brilliant way to entertain the family but also as a parent enjoy and relax in the bar area which they have- you can even treat yourself to a cold beer or maybe just stick to a J20 which your kids play. They also serve food in the restaurant/bar area but if I remember rightly there is an age restriction in the bar area, so you'll need to be aware of this. I don't have kids so it's something I didn't enquire about when I last went. Not to worry about that though, as there's plenty of activities kids can do; not just bowling. There are arcade type games which the small and the big kids will all enjoy.

Inside the club it is well decorated and it it used mainly by members. It is available for funcions. The food is good value for money although the beer is quite expensive for a members club. The snooker tables are the main focus of the bar and are well looked after and play well. There is a separate bar to get away from the noise of the main bar and both bars show all major sporting events. The bar staff are friendly an there is a nice atmosphere in the place overall.

I've played here a number of times as a guest of friends who are members. As someone used to…read moreplaying 99% of my golf on public courses it really is a treat to play here. When compared to public courses the greens here are ludicrously fast and take a fair bit of getting used to - this is surely down to the extra care and attention these greens get. They are fast! In addition to the pace of the greens the holes are really well protected by bunkers, making this a tricky course for the first time visitor. As this is a private club there are certain rules of dress and etiquette that may catch you out. I turned up once in white socks - this is a no-no. I also once made the mistake of walking into the bar wearing a hat, and then making a phone call - both of these are also frowned upon. Thankfully these were the extent of my transgressions and I was invited back by my fee-paying friends. If you get the chance to play here then I would jump at it. It's a different ball game to the public courses and, if you're like me and have no intention of ever joining a club, this is a rare chance to see what the inside of a golf club looks like.

It also means that the pitch is not used by the public and is now one of the best rugby pitches in the midlands.There has been money spent in the club in terms of improving the decor of the club. "Can you get here in 20 minutes?"...sometimes I'll agree to a hectic half hour in the rain at 10pm on a Tuesday. Sometimes I can't be bothered and make up an excuse. There are several pitches on site and each is an enclosed, netted area with a decent surface - not the harsh and burning astroturf that I grew up with, but an all together more modern, forgiving surface. The pitches are wide and short, which takes a bit of getting used to, but the emphasis is on passing and movement in this form of the game, so this short/wide configuration discourages aimless punting (most of the time). There are decent changing facilities with lockers and showers and a very decent bar area for a few post-game drinks. It's often the case that you'll be dragged to Power League for a game and then, high on your stellar performance in an 8-8 draw, you'll find yourself moaning about how rubbish the highly paid professional on the big screen are as you stay for another round.

Ever since I can remember, my friends and I have travelled down to Power League for a days football, whether it be rain or shine. The establishment offers several decently sized pitches, that can easily host a 5 a-side if not 6 a-side game. It always offers the chance, especially during the holidays, the opportunity to 'challenge' other teams playing there, in what can often be a harmless bit of fun, or sometimes a competitive mess. Either way, Power League is great for a organised kick-about with friends, allowing you to play on a good surface in secure surroundings, as opposed to a rough park or one of your friends gardens.
