I hesitate to write this review now because it has only been a few days and that is not enough time to be pleased with an exterminator. However, we were really impressed with the service. Last week, we noticed a few bees boring into the wood surrounding our porch and began to explore our options. We considered attempting to tackle this on our own but we have never encountered bees of this nature and wanted to protect our new home rather quickly. In our research we discovered Pest-Z which had amazing reviews. They are local and have locations in Burlington, Greensboro, Kernersville and Winston-Salem. We initially filled out the online service request form on a Sunday but followed up with a direct phone call on Monday morning. We made arrangements to meet at our house on Wednesday. The two women we spoke to were very helpful and friendly. James called shortly before he would be arriving and I told him that I was on my way to meet him at our house. He arrived about a minute after I did and we met in the driveway. He confessed that he could not sing like James Taylor. James looked over the area and treated the wood with several different items, including the holes they had bored. He also sprayed our wood shutters as well. Nicholas Faw from PestX Exterminating (Winston Salem office) came to my house today and did a through job of spraying for pests. He is a personable and professional tech. He asked me right off if I had any pets as he wanted to safeguard them from the spray if I desired. After greeting me at the door he promptly went about spraying my house, garage and outside foundation and finally giving me an assessment of ways I could help prevent the bugs from entering, or worse damaging my hse. If you are ever unhappy w their bug extermination, they stand by their service and willingly will come out again for a free re-do on them. I have been really happy with the service I have received from Pest-X! I've been a customer for about 4 months and only have had a great experience. Today I had a regular pest control/bait station check with Tyler and he was excellent. I work from home so it's hard for me to always know what my schedule is like but he was very accommodating, professional and friendly. We have been using Pest X for over a year now & are really happy we went with them for our year-round maintenance. Since switching to Pest X from another service, we have not had the issues we had been dealing with for years - ants in bathrooms & the kitchen, wasps getting into our house, & camel crickets in our basement. We've also not seen evidence of mice since we switched to them as well. It is extremely affordable for our 3 building property, the customer service has never been an issue, & they're pretty quick to come if needed (but it was rare we needed them outside the scheduled days). I've had mosquito and termite service for a year now with this company since moving to the area. I've had issues with people showing up randomly, today takes the cake. I have a rescue dog that can be aggressive and bite- A man shows up, no call, no appointment email, no one even told me he was coming even though they emailed me numerous times about while I was canceling my service... And my dog flipped out. This "technician" is very lucky that he did not get bitten or injured very badly! I was home alone and I thought that I needed to call the police because someone had broken into my backyard. They left holes all over the place unfilled from pulling up termite traps... ridiculous. read more
