Empty shelves
Julie M.

We're staying in Camp Verde for the winter and have two pups. We drove 40 minutes to Pet Headquarters thinking they'd have a great selection. They do not. The inventory is sparse. The shelves are empty. They didn't carry the two items we went in for. Truthfully, it looks like it's going out of business. I asked if they carried Pill Pockets. The clerk told me they did not because "they only carry natural food," and then told me to go to WalMart. I asked another clerk if they carried Taste of the Wild. She didn't know. She asked someone else and he went into an entire monologue about how the company that makes Costco dog food bought Taste of the Wild and so they refuse to carry it. It was off-putting and didn't seem professional to basically offend your customer. It would have been a great opportunity to just simply say "no, but here is what we do have...." Worst experience in a pet store ever. We won't be back.

I have a picky doggo. She only likes Canidae grain free "Land" dog formula. On my search for her favorite food, I stopped in here to check it out. I always like to try local shops first. I noticed they carried holistic and organic brands of dog food. Perfect. SoOooOoo....I searched high and low for my doggos Canidae food and didn't see it. They had all kinda of holistic dog food. Wellness, Earthbound and so on. They did have Canidae but not the "Land" formula. A guy asked if I needed any help and I asked if they stocked a specific brand of Canidae food. Unfortunately, no, but he was kind enough to call another store in Dewey to see if they had any. They didn't either. The guy said he could order it but it would take about 5 days to get it. Ughhh.. I appreciated the guys eagerness to help and he was super friendly, but my dog wouldn't be happy with a new brand of dog food. I thanked the guy for trying. So my search continued.

Everyone is so kind and helpful and that is, sadly, hard to come by these days.

I don't mean a little dirty, I mean multiple piles of animal waste and dirty water in almost every enclosure. How can you guarantee healthy animals when they're living in their own filth? This is unacceptable. Ive included just a few of the pictures I took.

He tended to the animals more than what color the walls were. We called today wanting to see their stock of animals and my husband called them and spoke with someone who said they were open. We get there and they said they were only open to selling feeders that we were not able to walk around because they were fixing the place up? Why say your open on the phone and make us drive all the way from chino to say, "oh sorry we didn't mean to tell you were open, we're only open to selling feeders." I bought one of my snakes there from the old owner and I'll never go back to that place ever again! Their website and Facebook haven't been updated and their hours are all over the place. I'm surprised that place is still open since no revenue is coming in. You guys lost two customers. My husband and I will not come back. Thanks for making it easy for the both of us to figure that out.

Instead of calling me right away and/or getting him prompt medical attention, she waited approximately 18 hours. My vet says she may have been able to save his eye had Lucy taken him in right away. While she finally paid for the vet expenses, it was a fight and I endured her use of unprofessional, foul language in my direction while I remained calm and professional towards her. To my shock and disbelief, she thought that I should be grateful to her for resolving the payment issue! I felt no compassion from her. Instead, she called me names. In hindsight, I should have known it wasn't going to work out. I was desperate to get my puppies trained and overlooked red flags. She talked endlessly about herself and could not stay focused. It seemed I couldn't ask a single question without her getting sidetracked on some story about how great she is. She often spoke about how the other trainers in town were horrible. Lots of bragging and very little action. Please think twice about using this "dog trainer." I wish I had.

She told my mom that she brought the dogs to the dog park and while the injured dog was attacked. Instead of bringing the attacked dog immediately to the vet, she brought him home and did not seek medical attention for approximately 18-20 hours. Our vet told us she could have likely saved the eye if Ms. Reynolds had sought medical attention right away. Following the attack it felt like Ms. Reynolds was doing anything and everything to avoid taking responsibility. She insisted she was an amazing dog trainer, that she would not give the full amount back for training because my mom had gotten "some benefits" from the 24 hours of training prior to the attack. She cursed my mom out, and acted very unprofessional. It took weeks to finally settle the matter.
