HOW did that happen in 10 minutes? Apparently they put my dog in a small room with a vet and another dog and they said he didn't do well...of course not! He doesn't know any of you and was scared! I immediately went to find another company and found Animal Friends. I told them of this situation and they said to bring my dog down to meet them, he did fine as I expected and my dog has now been happily boarded for 2.5 years. I travel extensively and appreciate that it's a family owned business that actually cares about my dog. They know I travel and accomodate me too because some nights I come in late and picking up the next day is better for me. If you are looking for a great dog boarding company that will treat you and your dog like family, I totally recommend Animal Friends.

The cuts are not always perfect but that's ok. Before my dog needed two types of pills to almost sedate him for a haircut. On the third haircut with Noah my dog did not even need medicine. I don't know anyone in the immediate area, so I had to rely on online reviews to pick a groomer, which made me pretty anxious. I chose Fluff & Buffs based on I think google reviews, and their closeness to our hotel. (Five minute or so walk down the street.) I called on a Sunday, and Tanya got back to me the next day. She asked me a few questions about Murry, and was able to give me an estimate of where pricing for his grooming might start, depending on whether he needed any extra work. We scheduled him for the following Saturday. My sister walked with me to take Murry to his appointment, and we both thought the facilities seemed nice. His scheduled groomer was Liz, and the way she interacted with Murry made me feel a lot more comfortable leaving him. I was really nervous about leaving him with someone I had no experience with. Liz gave me a call a couple hours later to go pick him up, and when we got there I was really happy with the results. Murry looked great - Liz had really paid attention to what kind of cut I had asked for, and the quality of her work was great. Best of all, Murry was totally calm, relaxed, and happy. He didn't act as though he'd been through any stress at all. Liz is awesome! The cost ended up being a little lower than the initial estimate, which was already reasonable for a standard poodle. I was super grateful for that. All in all, this was an excellent experience. If for some reason I find myself in Rochester again with a dog needing to be groomed, I'll be calling Fluff & Buff. Five stars well deserved.

After dropping my 11 lb poodle mix off for a grooming appointment the groomer called to tell me she…read morehad found "a few" fleas on my dog and I said it was fine to use flea shampoo for an extra $10, she also told me that the had some Matt's and there would be an additional $10 charge for de matting which I agreed to. I got a call 45 minutes later stating she could not finish the groom because he would not cooperate and was trying to bite. She told me to come pick him up and added " he doesn't look pretty". I have had this same dog groomed ever since I got him as a 6 month old pup. He has never had fleas but since I am new to this state I was willing to pay. I also knew he had some matting (NOT extensive) because he had a surgery 7 weeks ago and I could not brush him. She said I could bring him back in 3 days to see the grooming manager who would "finish" the groom. She said that she was unwilling to finish grooming him for her safety and his. I was charged an extra $30 ( which I did not agree to and which was not discussed with me nor was I informed of until the invoice was presented to me. Total charge was $148.00., (which is a full $90 more than I have historically paid ...with a tip included!) He was last groomed in May 2024. Today's date is 9/13/24. I did not agree to the extra $35 Charge and I certainly didn't leave a tip!) His groom was incomplete and the groomer said she was able to brush his teeth however when we got home I noticed that his mouth was bleeding Before I left the store I told her that 1. the additional fees were not cleared with me nor discussed with me. 2. I have never had any groomer in 5 years complain about him or return him to me unfinished. 3. That I was going to complain because I was informed of charges and she did a lousy job. I complained to the manager on the way out. I have shopped at PetSmart for over 25 years but I will NEVER go back. The manager said he would call me but I paid the entire $148 and change. 7 weeks ago the dog had sedation, abdominal surgery to remove in descended testicles and his teeth cleaned... the entire charge from a local vet was $560. Groomer was clearly not trained well, the dog is injured and the groom was incomplete. Do not bring your pets here.... Very unprofessional. Maureen Brickley
