We went into the exam room, and the vet tech took our information into the computer, and left. As we were waiting for the doctor, some lady comes in to the room and asks Do we have a problem here? I said I have no idea what you are talking about. She says that something was said to the tech. She never introduces herself, and has a horrible disposition. She says that my son said something to the tech while her back was turned. I said he didn't say anything to her. The lady says her tech is in back crying. I asked what the tech claimed my son said. She said the tech said that my son called her a whore under his breath. I said that absolutely did not happen. My son is not in the habit of calling strangers whores. She said well I've known this tech for years, and she would not lie, and walked out of the room. When the doctor came in, I told him I wanted an apology from the lady for calling us liars. He left the room, and 15 minutes later the lady came back in and said she doesn't owe us an apology. I said so you said your technician isn't lying, so we must be lying. She said yes. I said you know, it's possible no one is lying, and your tech misheard my son talking to me. She said it was possible, but she's not apologizing. We have gone to this vet for almost 8 years, and for them to let this horrible manager treat us like this is disgraceful. My son has anxiety is so upset he's having a panic attack. I understand trying to defend your employees from being mistreated, but when she spoke with us, and we told her nothing was said, she should've addressed it differently. She has ZERO customer service skills...she is a liability to the business.

While on the way to the Clinic I received a phone call that someone very important to me passed away. I was so emotionally shocked but I knew I had to take my puppy inside. I went inside crying my eyes out which is very rare for me. I never cry in public around anyone but I couldn't stop crying even when inside. I explained everything that was going on with my puppy along with the news that I received on the phone. The wonderful lady at the desk got my puppy Pluto and took him back. They had me wait in the room and not much longer brought him back with the good news that he was okay. They then did one of the nicest things ever which I can't thank them enough for. The next day they even called to make sure my puppy was doing okay. I really appreciate them they were a God send especially during my rough time. I will recommend them to everyone. Thank you once again Madison Veterinary Clinic.

My grandog Tab, a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel needed grooming and I'd been too busy to get him to…read morethe groomers, so i called Shear Elegance in Madison to schedule an appt. for the upcoming week. Surprisingly, they said go ahead and bring him in and they could do him that day (a Saturday!) When I got there they said just give them an hour and a half and they'd have him ready. Comparing this to taking him to one of the big pet chains where they charged me double the price and kept him for 6 hours (apparently rush service was 10$ extra and no one told me this) plus he was probably in a cage for a long time, What a great value at Shear Elegance. Tabasco came home looking great - didn't have to be muzzled, is happy and didn't nip or growl at anyone. I even got to watch the last few minutes. These groomers were really great with Tabasco and you can tell they really do love what they do! I would highly recommend Shear Elegance!

The happiest surprise happened the following day at the Saturday curb market at Harmony Crossing when 2 young ladies yelled Lillibet. She was so excited to see two employees of Harmony who wanted to play with her! I was impressed they remembered her name. So she is going to spend the night this weekend.

We tried a couple of other kennels with our first two German Shepherds but they just didn't quite measure up - unless Todd closes down (please NO!), he'll continue seeing the Kole dogs on a regular basis. I'd been wanting to see alpacas in person after seeing a fellow Yelper take pictures of one, so after searching the internet I found this wonderful place. Mrs Carolyn was super accommodating ( it's a 3 1/2 drive ) and it's well worth the drive in my opinion. After exchanging a few emails we talked on the phone and picked a day and time that was convenient for us both. We got a personal tour of the entire farm ( Mrs. Carolyn knows everything about her animals including the smallest of details that really give you a sense of how much she really loves the animals in her care. It felt like we had known Mrs. Carolyn for years even though we'd met, her farm was cleaner and smelled better than some people's homes that own pets that I've been in. At the end of the our time we got a chance to purchase some of the yarn that's made from the alpaca's fur ( go online and try to buy alpaca yarn it's SUPER expensive ) that was a real treat in itself. Oh she's got a donkey that the sweetest animal I ever met , it was just like a little puppy that followed us around just to get petted. I'll say this in closing this is a trip that truly worth the drive and it's a place that we've already talked about visiting again ( there's a Air B & B on the property if you'd like the stay overnight) and you should too.
