I love to explore and this site came up on Yelp when looking for things to do close to Pokagon State Park. It did not disappoint. The facility was a few miles from the Park. It's a short drive from the highway or Angola and just outside of Fremont. Nothing too far. The entrance was well marked and to her to the site you drive down a long graveled lane. There is ample parking just outside the gift shop which connects to a small cafe that serves Buffalo burgers with chips. There are restrooms located close to the parking lot which make it very convenient. A wood chipped walkway leads to the gift shop entrance where tickets can be purchased for a bumpy truck trailer ride into the field. There riders are just feet or inches away from the bison herd. It is evident the staff love their work and the animals they care for and/ or support. From the young, pleasant gentlemen in the gift shop who ran to ensure we didn't miss the last tour, to the cafe attendant who upon request gave free apples to young attendees, to our guide, "Three Paws", who lovingly answered all questions and provided detailed information about the bison. The relationships between everyone was friendly and familial-like. The star of the show; however, are the bison. Getting to see this once endangered animals up close and personal is rare. Knowing the part they played in history took me back to a time long ago. It is obvious the owner recognizes their importance and is doing his part to preserve it. Kudos to him and his staff. The Find has a nice selection of baby and children's clothes. There are buckets of Jellycat stuff toys and lots of books and toys. The Find doesn't just cater to children; this place has something for everyone. There is usually a nice candles, jewelry, women's clothes, and mugs. I also like their selection of notebooks and pens. They have also had some really cute and functional face masks here during the height of the pandemic. I purchased a couple COIN 1804 masks from them and those turned out to be my favorite ones. The Find also stocks some Fort Wayne themed items like magnets that say "Fort Wayne: It's not that bad," and postcards with drawings of downtown. Regardless of the reason I visit The Find, I usually also end up purchasing greeting cards here too. They have some cute ones for every occasion.

Getting him anything is always a chore, as he is difficult to buy for. He is, though, a pretty religious guy and i thought this store might have something he would like. I was in luck, there was a statute of a Jesus fish made out of wood. He actually ended up really liking it, which is a rare thing as usually he never has liked my gifts. While here, though, i found this store also sells greeting cards, home and garden decor. Definitely something i love. More importantly, i found two gifts to give to my best friend apple for Christmas. They were side gifts to supplement the main item i would get her. One was a sign that said "I need 3 coffees, 6 puppies, & like 12 million dollars"... so her and "your the friend everyone wishes they had". She totally is the bestest friend i have ever had! She loved those when she got them. So an awesome store with stuff i would like for my home... that helped me find something my dad loved and also brought a smile to my best friend!!!! Score!! The staff member I encountered was both gracious and courteous. They carry a wide range of merchandise with no particular rhyme or reason, but it all flows, seamlessly. I loved the energy and vibe of the store. There is street parking on either side of the street. I purchased a tshirt on this visit and declared I'd be back to look around and shop again. Perhaps the most notable thing about the boutique store, there is a food pantry donation center located just outside the front entrance. Stop in, if you can, and bring a canned good or 2 if you can spare it.
