After much research, I settled on Ann Barnes Florist because the shop was voted as one of the top 3 in Blackpool and they received numerous good ratings online. I made the right choice. Ann checked with the hospital to ensure they would accept flowers before she charged me - I found this to be so kind - after all, she was not obliged to do so - could have attempted delivery and charged me whether they were accepted or not. This is definitely the type of service that is fast disappearing. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and I was told they were "the best on the ward" and cheered up patients and staff alike. Also garden furniture, equipment and water features. I stocked my herb garden with plants from here last year and they thrived and have survived the winter to pop back up again looking as strong as ever. A lot of garden centres are more concerned with selling expensive ornaments and gifts than gardening supplies (I'm sure some of them would turn you away if you dared to turn up in wellies!) so this garden centre makes a nice change. Ample parking and a convenient location too.

It does tend to get busy at the weekends so try and avoid the busiest eating times I tend to visit over Christmas as I find their Christmas offering to be one of the best in the area for both value and range of selection

Mothercare sell a wide range of products especially for new parents as they have a lot of baby items.From bottles to pushchairs and cots.This store was designed with parents in mind.It has a baby change area and toilets for parents and younger children.They also have vending machines with bottles of water which is probably pretty rare in shops. The store is always beautifully laid out and always clean tidy and fresh looking,the staff are pleasant and polite and willing to help should you need it.The prices in mothercare are probably about average with most other clothes store like Next for example but well worth the price as they last for ages.
