Michelle is such a great groomer! So friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. She does a wonderful job with our fur babies!

If I could give 0 stars... My experience at this Petco was unacceptable. Eddie gave my DoorDash order to the wrong driver, and when I came in to resolve the issue, he told me "it was entirely your fault" and refused to help. His lack of accountability and dismissive attitude were astonishing. The floor manager, Hailey, initially said there was nothing she could do and that negative reviews "didn't affect her." She eventually refunded the cost of my litter, but even that came with an annotation on my receipt reading "doordash delivery wrong item won't help." That pretty much sums up the customer service mindset at this location. The only person who acted professionally was Anne, who was kind and tried her best despite being caught in the middle. Meanwhile, Eddie seemed more focused on flirting with female customers than doing his job. This store needs serious improvement in basic customer care. read more

Vetco is a ripoff!! Told me it would be $49 for anal gland expression when I was in the room. When I paid they said, "oh its $49 for the expression and $49 for the vet tech so it's $100 when I paid. Do not use these people!!! They r misleading with their prices. It's really too bad I love the Derby groomers but will now can cel my vital care for my other dog as it apparently is per animal for over $200 years. What a money grab!!!! read more

Sometimes haircut is uneven on top of head or tail. Toenails not cut up to snuff. Ears may not be dry causing problems with ears

Absolutely horrible grooming. She shaved his skirt off, without calling us. Didn't finish grooming him and told us not to bring him back again....he's a puppy that has been groomed previously!! Oh, we got 20% off since she wasn't able to finish the grooming and yet the bill was still $80. He looks horrible!! I would NOT recommend them to anyone!! read more

The people here are the worst pet groomers in town. My dog comes back scared to be touched and I've seen them yanking dogs into the grooming area. I've been treated with such disrespect and carelessness from everyone behind the grooming section of this Petco. They all need to be fired or put through some serious training when it comes to dealing with people and ESPECIALLY ANIMALS. The workers here are disgusting and horrible people. read more

I have been bringing my short haired dog here for grooming over the last 3 years. A typical basic groom which includes a bath and nail trim used to cost approximately $50 with tip included. I specifically requested the same service when scheduling an appointment with this derby location yesterday. When petco called to tell me that my dog was ready for pick up I asked for a quote on the service provided and was told the charges came to $67 now. Imagine my dismay when I sent my son to pick up our dog with my credit card and saw that I was charged $97 for the service requested. They encouraged an upcharge of deshed application and tooth brushing for 30 extra dollars. When I got home from work and allowed my dog to cuddle up to me, she left hair all over my clothing (that is why I never request this additional service because it doesn't typically reduce shedding, and she isn't a big shedder anyway). I told my son that he could tip the groomer 10%, and they helped themselves to a $20 tip on my credit card. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this location in the future. read more

An employee told me how awesome the dog trainer was at Petco in Derby. I signed up and had to schedule it a little ways our because of my schedule. We went to 2 sessions and both times the trainer cut it short and said my dog was too stressed to continue. I called and they let me know I could get a full refund. I went today to get my refund and aince it was over 30 days si ce I paid I could only get the sale price they have going on right now. We just started classes on the 4th but I paid the beginning of June. read more

Our Cocker Spaniel was way over due for his "spa" day and received an excellent bath, hair cut, nail trim and teeth brushing. They took their time and gave him the cut we wanted for him, we were very pleased and will be back again. read more

I don't know if they've had a change in staff recently, but their new grooming staff fucking suck. When my mom and sister took our dog in december to get a bath and a nail trim they quoted about 30 minutes, which is fine. However when they went to pick him up he was still wet, and I don't mean damp, I mean hair was still clumped together, it's like the employee didn't bother to check if he was dry at all, when my mom asked about it the lady said that he knocked over the waterdish. Something to note about our dog is he absolutly HATES water he won't go outside if it's raining. Also keep in mind this was in the middle of december. poor dog was shaking all the way to the car and refused to go outside the rest of the night. This also happened again yesterday when we dropped him off again for the same services, This time i went with my mom and sister to see if the same thing happened and of course it did, it was the same lady who groomed our dog last time, my mom had even asked the her if he was fully dry and she said yes, when he came out both my sister and i pet him to see if he was and it seemed like it until he came out and i saw his whole rear end still sopping wet, needless to say my mom did not leave a good tip. This is my favorite Petco. Its the least stinky I've ever been to. I love their reptile section, and the staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The grooming department is great, and the staff go out of their way to do their best to help every time. Thanks so much for setting a standard. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience here. My cousin got her beautiful Goldendoodle groomed here and they basically butchered her. They shaved her down to the skin and left her ears and tail completely untouched. She was shaved raw underneath her tail. Her skin was covered in razor burn and she has been on medicine to ease her itching for over a week now. One of her nipples was bleeding when she picked her up. When she called to discuss the issue the manager was very nice and offered a full refund but when she went to get the refund the manager hid in his office, the front counter staff was so incredibly rude and disrespectful to her, all of the groomers were giving her the evil eye, AND they didn't even give her a full refund. They asked if she used a coupon and she said no. They said, "Well there is no way to prove you're telling the truth so I can only give you a partial refund." So she paid for the most atrocious​ $60 cut for her pup and got $54 back. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY SERVICES. read more
