He drew me in by saying it had a lot of good ideas in it, then swiftly laid out his concept: we would jettison and ignore everything in the existing plan and replace humanitarian craft projects with the import of used machine parts. I said, I have no expertise in that area. Well, he said: you need a Man to help you run your business, you need a Man to be your business partner. Now that the putative business plan bore no resemblance to what I wanted to submit and felt qualified to undertake, there seemed no point in going forward. He harangued me for a few days with emails and texts threatening I would lose my visa without his help, then a month later when I asked to book an hour of his paid time in order to clarify one specific issue, he simply refused to reply. More like a spoilt child than a real lawyer.
