This was looked busy and had good feedback. And it turnes out this is very well deserved. It's a typical Fish'n'Chips shop...small, simple and busy. Several kinds of fish can be chosen, a bunch of burgers, some veggie options and kids menus. Calamari, Nuggets etc. are on the menu too. Also some cheap lunch deals. We had a Fish (cod) and Chips, some Dr. Peppers and a Texas Burger. The Burger was too dry, tasted good otherwise. Not huge, not fancy, but fair priced. But it's all about the Fish....and it was great! Tasty, fresh, crispy, hot. All you need and want from this kinda shop. Most people take out their meals. There are also a few seats inside and a few outside. They also deliver. We sat outside with our dog (not allowed inside). All in all a very good meal. Burger ok, but I won't take that into the rating....because it's about the Fish!

Her Ladyship grew up in London, so she grew up on fish and chips, as did our friends, which means I've certainly had my fair share. These were, hands down, the absolute best, any of us have experienced. The plates in the photos, are full size dinner plates, so you can see the portions. Dinner for 4 was about 30 pounds split by the 4 of us. We were all stuffed for 7,50 each. with a lot of leftovers. Can't recommend enough!!

My response usually ranged from indifference to active dislike. So, when my friends in England suggested fish and chips at Shakey Shakey, my expectations were rather low. Boy, was I ever pleasantly surprised. Every order here is accompanied by a simple lettuce and parsley salad (nice), tomato and cucumber salad (tasty), and cooked onions in a balsamic and oil sauce with spices (frickin' amazing). We also had some sides that included a mildly spicy sausage, pickled onion, mushy peas, and gherkin. All were good. The chips (fries) were tasty, and there were an abundance of them, but I wish I had asked for them to be cooked extra crispy. I had a bite of my friend's haddock. It had good flavor and very good texture. My cod, however, was a blank canvas upon which the very essence of "fish-n-chips" was painted in masterful strokes. It was cooked perfectly, with flaky flesh and crispy batter. The favors were mild, yet thoroughly enjoyable. It was served searingly hot from the fryer, and was as close to perfect as this non-fish aficionado could possibly want. I had expected to tolerate this dish, instead it was the best of its kind I have ever enjoyed. The owner and family were wonderfully friendly. The service was excellent. All this, and pricing that was more than reasonable.
