Great venue but hot as hell in the Summer. I have a feeling the artist I went to see would have…read morebeen up on stage longer had it not felt like a sauna the whole time. But the place is literally a big old barn so what can you expect. There are outside patios to escape the heat /have a smoke if you need to. Love how intimate it is and how you can get a good view of the stage from wherever you are. If you get right up close to the stage you can almost touch the lead singer! Quite a laid back vibe. A lot of attendees at the concert I went to looked like they didn't "belong" but were just there to have fun. You can tell a lot of locals just come here for a good night out, regardless of who's playing. The bathrooms were pretty crammed but they managed to squeeze 4 stalls in there so I didn't have to wait long in line each time which can be a nightmare at other venues. Beer was a little pricey (and warm -- $8 tall cans) but that's to be expected at any concert venue I guess... All in all, good times and I'd definitely return if another band/artist I liked came here! (Even if it is a 2 and a half hour drive away from TO)

This place is known for hosting Canadian bands on weekends in the summer. It's a bit of a legend…read moreamong locals and cottagers. It's defintely a casual place, not a super-classy establishment. It's an oldschool, bare-bones place with sticky floors, but that doesn't mean you won't have a great time. This is an old building right on the lake with a pretty nice patio out back. As for the inside, there's really nothing special about it. The stage is probably about 6 feet high so there are no metal barricades, and you can see the band from pretty much anywhere. There is open general admission on the main floor and limited general admission seating upstairs. The seating is very uncomfortable, but if you want to sit upstairs, head up there as soon as you get in because they only allow a certain number of people up there (you can always head downstairs later on if you feel like it). There are bars on both levels. There's not a lot of parking here, but there is a free parking lot a couple hundred metres away (drive under the train bridge, there will be a dirt parking lot on the right side of the road). It's a 3 min walk back to the Kee. The washrooms are pretty cramped and gross, and from what I remember, none of the stall doors locked in the womens washrooms.... so you have to hold the door closed with your foot. I had an issue a few years ago with a male patron pestering me and the bouncers refused to do anything about him, but I've been to the Kee roughly 6-7 times and that is the only negative experience I've had with the staff. Over all, it's a pretty great (and cheap) little place to see relatively intimate performances by some pretty great rock bands :)

We hired Stereo flavour for our wedding in Early May 2015. I am a self obsessed music nerd. In fact…read moreI play guitar/bass/drums in a rock combo called The Fitzroy Terrors. I've been banging around in the local music scene since i was 15 years old. I know bands, I know music gear and I was 100 % satisifed with this musical purchase, trust me I have a lot of Fender's and Gibsons... It was essential for us to hire a band as we had been to so many weddings that had the standard DJ and it's... it's... not good. Humans need to make music to REALLY get people to GROOVE. The same old thing was not going to do our wedding. We sifted through over 65 demos and Stereoflavour was the pick of the bunch. Great website with good demos. Our venue so happened to have an excellent stage and lighting rig. We wanted to make sure everyone had a great time dancing and having fun. Stereoflavour provided in spades. Their youthful vigour and sweet harmonies had butts'a'shaken all night long!! In my circle of friends, we would refer to a band like this as "tight". Always on the beat, playing very danceable versions of all our favourite songs. The Drums and Bass were always on point, pumping the grooves and keeping that ever so precious meter always steady and right 'there'. Soulful Sax played with great attitude mixed with tasteful guitar licks. Clean male harmonies splashed in and out, as he really laid some sweet Strat tones. That fully layered approach to their presentation really makes the songs pop. We were very impressed with the 2 female lead vocalists, as they put down some of the finest melodies and harmonies that thrilled my music loving friends and family. It was spectacular. All of their equipment was of great caliber in terms of sound quality and appearance, no metal shredder stuff that might offend. The volume was under control, our venue is a performance space so it naturally lent it's acoustic brilliance. It helped the music flow without any annoying echo! With 3 lead singers, 2 female and 1 male, keyboards (complete with Keytar for you music nerds!!) guitar, bass, drums and killer saxophone player we got a great show and huge response from the audience/guests! The energy from the dance floor was being shared on the stage and we were all rewarded with an awesome night! Stacey was brilliant to deal with. Professional, on time, and kept a very open communication with us. She was reliable and We got exactly what We paid for. The best Toronto cover band for the best price. She really did deliver and She is a phenomenal singer and keyboard player. She gives Jordan Rudess a run for his money (If you know who that is, then you know...She's "that" kind of good :) We would never hesitate to recommend this group. If you are thinking of hiring this group. Make no mistake. It will take your big day to the next level. Do it. Bryan & Patty 05/09/15
