Totally agree with the other poor reviews. How much of an expert tailor is Pete if he can't do a simple dress alteration? Took a dress that just needed to be lifted from the bottom a few inches. Lace material on top, smooth material on the bottom. Refused to work on it. Puzzles me how he can have good reviews without knowing how to fix simple things? Pete has now tailored for me half a dozen dress shirts (slim at the waist and sleeves), a full suit ( shorten sleeves and raise, slim and taper pants) and a sports coat (shorten sleeves) and I feel thats sufficient to be a representative sample of his work and I could not be more pleased. Prices are reasonable as well ($9\dress shirt and $50\suit). Pete has me looking good and has opened the Door to me buying shirts I like, but might not fit great off the rack... Pete has been tailoring my clothes (and my husband's, mother's, brothers'/sisters' and father's clothes) for over 20 years. His prices are always fair and his work is always flawless. Yes, it is true, if he isn't sure he can do what you want perfectly he will decline the business. It has only happened once to us though (when my husband wanted him to alter the bejeezus out of a suit to somewhat drastically change the fit). I've had to go to other tailors when living in other areas and had items RUINED or just otherwise not end up quite right when I asked them to do something over ambitious. I used to come here All the time to tailor my jeans because they were to long and he always charged 5 bucks and would be done within 2 days. He Alters clothes like nobody's business. My mom lost 100 lbs and he tailored almost all her clothes, it was pricy but she saved money in the end because she didn't need to buy new clothes. Thanks Pete. read more

Was excited to go to this place but ended up severely disappointed. One of the clasps in my slacks came off so I wanted a replacement. He immediately refused and said it couldn't be done. Fine, I understand that. Not all places have that part (but on the other hand, this clasp is found in almost all dress pants so that's weird). I also had an oversized loose shirt that I wanted to get tailored. It had a large v neck and I wanted to also get it tucked in on the sides. Again, he said he couldn't do it because the arms on the shirt were too big. Um... isn't that your job? To figure out how to fix it? Maybe this guy is loyal to his old customers because he sounded great but to new customers he's not very welcoming. I ended up going to downey tailors. They had the part to replace my pant clasp and they were able to hem my shirt appropriately. read more
